But instead we got a kissing scene between Claire and Aqualad that wasn't forced and contrived or anything!
... I think I just sprained my eyes from rolling them too hard.

It was a pretty good episode. I'm glad that Matt's ability has developed a little and that Peter is finally working his power well. I was disappointed about how Sylar's story is still truckin' along and Hiro is MIA.

Pros: Yay, Hiro's back! And the writers have picked up a plot thread from season one that I was sure they had forgotten about. Two for one special! A net gain for a our fair show! Cons: Okay, let me get this straight, this guy tries to set off a bomb in D.C., and specifically tries to blow up a senator and the only consequences are that he gets fired? They don't even escort him out of the building or ask him to turn over his weapon? What kind of govenment organization is this? One with a secret government squad that's hunting down American (and foreign) citizens and not granting them habeas corpus and doesn't want it all getting out and blowing up anymore than it has. Or we could blame it on the bureaucracy. Also, why would Claire want to help Doyle? If anyone deserves to be hunted down and locked up it's him. And no, I don't care if he's sorry or if he cries about it.
Because he's a mutant too. The X-Men have teamed up with Magneto before in the face of bigger issues, why not lowly Claire and Doyle?

What was Mrs Petrelli implying about the situation in the 90s in Angola? Either that he has a power, or someone with a power saved him?
heh a little Jerry Maguire moment when none of Danko's employees stand up to leave with him when he's fired.. hheh

Nix: Bye bye Barbie?
Ninny: It probably has something to do with some power. The tone seemed to say "you have a power" though I doubt it.
Whatever happened to President Worf?

He was supposedly removed from command because Nathan went to the President about what happened. Why didn't the President send Homeland Security to arrest this guy as a terrorist? Did Nathan forget to mention the part where he tried to set off a bomb in D.C.? Also, why would Claire want to help Doyle? If anyone deserves to be hunted down and locked up it's him. And no, I don't care if he's sorry or if he cries about it.

See this is where the whole "fear and hatred of mutants as a metaphor for racism" thing breaks down for me. Doyle is a monster who uses his mind over body powers to rape and murder people. Claire should feel kinship to him because she's a fast healer? If anything, I would have expected the scene where he tries to convince Claire to help him by calling her his "own kind" to disgust her and make her less inclined to help her, not more. The X-Men teaming up with Magneto works because he's fairly sympathetic as villains go. You don't see them teaming up with complete monsters like Apocalypse or Mr. Sinister very often. What was Mrs Petrelli implying about the situation in the 90s in Angola? Either that he has a power, or someone with a power saved him? I don't think so. I think that she was just letting him know that she has some dirt on him that could cause problems for him. Not that it really matters now; it looks like he's about to get Sylar'd.

haha that's pretty broad. I guess you mean where Sylar becomes Nathan?
Nothing really exciting is happening anymore, and there doesn't seem to be any interesting angle they're trying to push to make you "wait and see" what might happen. I'm resigning myself to the fact I'm pretty over it. The show has lost it's edge and it's spark, which is unfortunate.

The worst part about Heroes was that it tried to keep the same cast after the first season, leading to the plot becoming convoluted, adding too many interrelating backstories to keep track of, and having the characters go through so many developments that it became difficult to emphasize or sympathize with any of them. The show was at its best during season one because it essentially was a miniseries at that point. Returning to that format can only good. I hope to see what became of Claire's revelation in the last episode. Or, you know, the first episode can reveal that Nathan is president, and the next twelve episodes be spent teasing the audience who he actually is.

Tell me, PEEL, is Heroes worth watching? I hear from 98% of every person that has watched it that it gets reeeeaaall shitty a few seasons in, but it looks like a decent-enough show.

Watch season one, because it's fantastic. Then grit your teeth and bear seasons two and three, because you'll need to in order to understand season four, which is pretty good.
