Clarie is the key of something I wasn't really paying attention.

The formula still doesn't work, even with both halves.  There's a third piece hidden in someone's blood.  Claire is that person, or at least she thinks that she is.

And there a sexy connection between Sylar and Ellie. yum

I've never used the puke smiley before, but I am sorely tempted to do so now.

Quote
Tracy joins Arthur Petrelli side.

It seems more like she's trying to play both sides against the middle.  That'll probably end up getting her killed.  Then we'll get to meet Barbara in season four.

So a person with healing factor turns out to be the key to human mutation of powers. Kinda sad making Wolverine the centre of things again....oh sorry I was reading Ulimate Origins, what were we talking about.

Well as much as I enjoyed Hiro in season one for the shear charm of his character revaling in his ablilites, resetting his memory to a younger Hiro seems like lazy story telling to try and recapture that charm.

Okay better episode... all about The Eclipse... nothing is a coincidence. Everything happens for a reason. Etc etc.

so not only does the eclipse stop everyone's abilities, it reversed Mohinders? Also, should we ignore that not everywhere in the world experiences the eclipse in full at the same time...? And, how long does this frickin eclipse last for? I thought they only went for a few minutes at a time.. what's everyone so impatient about??

lol yay seth green and breckin meyer!! I knew i saw their names on the opening credits. Yay!

okay wut? Daphne's legs? 'splain please!!

It wasn't meant to fly, either.  They dropped a pretty flagrant enough hint that she was a cripple before she manifested.

Also, longest eclipse ever.

yeah, gotta say my love affair with this show is pretty much dead now. It's nothing but habit that keeps me watching at this point and unless something drastic changes I don't think that habit will last much longer.

Come to think of it, the constant drastic changes are the problem in the first place. Can't someone just slap the writing staff? Or maybe the cast could go on strike until they are given better scripts in which their characters actually have some consistancy and develop over time instead of just flopping around wildly to justify twisting the plot to follow some opium-induced dream Kring had the night before?

Storyline breakdown:

Daphne, Matt and Ando: C
Nathan, Ali LarTwo and SeizureMarine: C-
Petrelli Prime: D
Hiro: A (So cute!  So sad!)
Claire Squared: C (The encounter could create a time paradox, the results of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum, and destroy the entire universe! Granted, that's a worse case scenario. The destruction might in fact be very localized, limited to merely our own galaxy.)
Peter and the Haitian Who Was Way More Badass When He Didn't Talk: C-
Sylar: A+ (The cake is a lie!)

Comments:
  • Daphne/Matt's "I love you/I don't love you" thing is getting old, good thing Ando's there or it would suck worse than Maya/Alejandro.
  • The Marine was lame.
  • Daddy Petrelli + Bullet + Sylar = Awesome
  • Claire was a little more interesting, but still sucks.
  • Hiro's story was one of the best Heroes has had in a while. Too bad there wasn't a lot of Sulu...
  • Speaking of Sulu, what the fuck happened to Grandma Uhuru?

Kring wrote out Nikki and her whole extended family when he "reinvented" her as ... whatever her new name is, I can't be bothered to remember all of kring's "plot twists."

This means Micah is gone as well - didn't care much for his character (never developed much really) but he was the only technopath in the series. They could've at least had Sylar or Peter absorb the power before they wrote him off... :sigh:

Not holding my breath. Perhaps he was just being political but I wouldn't describe any part of the villians arc as good. This season has had some good moments but the main story, if you can even call it that, is just plain terrible by design im(nsh)o.

Quote
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly also got to talk to Bryan Fuller ("Pushing Daisies"), who's rejoining the show as a consultant. Here's a bit on "Fugitives," which kicks-off on February 2:

It really is a fresh start. All of the characters are back in their real lives. You see Peter as a paramedic. Claire is looking for colleges. We get away from the world of formulas and quasi-magic.

Yes. Episodes 14, 15 and 16 are amazing. The whole "Fugitives" arc starts out very strongly, and then it gets a little dense in the middle in terms of the mythology. So I came in right at the point where everybody was realizing, "Oh, we're getting too dense here and we need to put faces on stories because there is no face to a formula; there is no face to saving the world." So it's turning this big ship back into a character stream, and everyone on the writing staff shares that desire. We need to get back into a character place, because that's where this story started: Very clean, superhero metaphors to everyday life. That's the path that we're taking. But it is a big ship so it's going to take a little while to turn it.

So the timeline's getting wiped? Again? While it seems preferable to continuing with the direction it's been going, it seems more like the lesser of two evils than a good thing.

He can't mean something as inelegant as a full-scale reset, can he?  I would imagine something more along the lines of things coming full circle.  Maybe Pete will get Linderman's healer-thingy.

Ok time to predict the story line after fugitives.

Hiro goes over the edge when Syler kills Ando. To stop this he travels back in time with (oh i don't know, lets say) Parkman hitching a ride back with him. Hiro tries to kill sylar but accidently kills Peter. Without Peter around the plan to give every one powers succeeds and ushers in The Age Of Patreli (does not matter which as they are pretty interchangeable) with Sylar leading the resistance against them nad Parkmen as the time displaced observer.

Surely the comics industry have never done a story line like that :P

Speaking of those who are time displaced, did they ever reveal what happened to that irish woman Peter left in the infected future?

Ahem. Prof X's son, Legion, emerged from a comatose state and promptly traveled through time to go back and kill magneto. He accidentally killed Xavier instead. Age of Apocalypse alternate timeline ensued.

Indeed and his intended target Magneto went on to become the leader of the resistance, even had a kid with Rogue as well. Bishop was also a displaced time traveler in that story.

Come to think of it Suresh is becoming more and more like Mr Sinister (a genetics Professor who is derided by most of his peers but finds a way to become a mutant himself and then get's alittle obsessed with it.)
