Ok, so why did Flying Politican Guy have to sacrifice himself by flying up with The Exploding Guy? Couldn't they just have the cheerleader shoot him, and then have him regenerate later? I'm confused. Does anybody have an explanation for this?

Good finale. Except for the stuff that doesn't make sense.

Couldn't Peter fly too? Ok maybe not when being a nuclear Neddy, but takin' all bets, alive or dead? Nathan too could have flown him up, let him fall and then flown to safety himself, while Peter falls, kerplodes and regenerates... and then Nathan could catch him again or he could just go splat and regenerate again, right?
Or land in the water and swim home...

Like what was the deal with Peter seeing that dead guy...that was confusing.

My guess as to why Peter could not fly, he was preoccupied with explosding cause I think he can use two powers at the same time, like stopping Claude from hitting him while being invisible.

Now even if Nathen let go of Peter before he exploded he would probably die pretty soon after that huge does of radiation that Peter was lettig off even before he went boom.

Now I do wonder if Sylar is actually dead, the whole cockroach thing. Might also explain why the company could only read telekinisis as a power off him when he was captured, he transfer the memory and powers into the cockroach then when it crawwled back to him he got his strength back. Then again this guy whom is meant to be worse than Sylar could be an interesting villian, just have to wait and see

If we're treating it as a real nuclear blast then the EMP would have also shut down the all the lights around them, right? But they stayed on, and anyway, Nathan can break the sound barrier at least, which is pretty fast to get away.
Questions, questions...

Sylar looks to be very much alive at the end of the episode, although he can't be too healthy if he left a trail of blood into a sewer (infection!)

Is anyone else's favorite super power person the girl who is a Mystique rip off? That's such a great plot device.

My favorite is Hiro. I don't know why exactly. I like the space/time aspect of it, but I also like how Endo and him bring some comic relief to the show.

Another question to be raised is why Sylar took Hiro's attack like a man. He definitely could have stopped Hiro, but instead he let him stab him.

And did anybody else notice how Sylar's eyes did the "looking into the future" thing when he was "dying"? Was he looking into the future then or what?

Also, Hiro in Imperial Japan seems like a good beginning for Season 2.

Just came from watching the final episode... I'll just spoiler it just incase, even though nothing is really obvious here:

...seemed a little anticlimatic, no? Sure, all the main characters are there but I was hoping for a bit more of a duel to occur between Sylar and Peter... if not at least between the whole group. A big fight oldskool style! But no, let's just turn bullets around back into someone... it's been done before, people!

I guess I was hoping for a huge fight scene... it's the least we could've expected. The rest of them were just wounded and hanging around the edge looking on... meh? Even Nikkessica could've done more there..?

Sylar's not dead. Surprise.

Noah... come on!! Ok is there some kind of biblical meaning behind this?? Saving the world?

I wonder why Hiro flashes himself back so far? Was it because he was in the Samurai frame of mind?? I was hoping his dad was one of those guys on the horses heh that woulda been freaky. It's probably his family tree though...

Also, agreed with Sylar not putting up much of a fight. Sure, they proved earlier that Hiro is much quicker than him now - but really... why couldn't he just pull it out or something? He gave no resistance.
So stabbing him in teh heart was the only way to kill him off guard? Seems kind of poor.

If Claire had shot Peter in the back of the head then only one would have died - instead of the two of them.. still better than millions.. but at least her biological father would still be alive now (and there'd be a future President!)

How will they explain the death of Nathan with no physical evidence??

As lame as I think it is that Sylar didn't really die, it will be cool if he shape changes into Nathan Petrelli and becomes president, just like in the future-episode.

Also, I dont think Sylar could do the shape changer thing now.  I think its likely that Nikki killed shape changer girl.  So unless Sylar gets better, finds out she is dead and has a power, finds her corpse and gets her brain before it starts to become not a brain anymore, I dont think he can get it.

I was expecting that she'd turn out to actually be fat or something, but when she got knocked out, and her illusions disapeared, she still looked the same.

I've been watching Heroes on BBC2/3 and on Sunday I couldn't stand waiting any longer and watched from the 6th episode right through to the end via the wonder of the internet.

With regards to Sylar not even resisting Hiro's attack. Of course he didn't. He knew it was coming. He had Issac's comic book. It was detailed in there, along with (probably) what to do next, and even if what to do next wasn't detailed I'm sure Sylar had time enough to think of something.

It wasn't spectacular, in my opinion. A very nice season opener that sets up a few things. I'm most interested about Hiro and his father. Ther others don't seem as interesting. Yeah, Claire, the Petrellis, and Parkman are good, but I'm most interested in Hiro. Also,

I was thinking that the guy at Claire's school was Peter for a part of the show. Possibly he had transformed himself to watch over her or something. The him flying thing kind of added to this (Nathan flying Peter up in last season's finale; Peter got his powers), but then, at the end, when you see Peter, I didn't know what. The only other two options, in my opinion, are it's Sylar or the mystery evil guy. I just this guy as being good.

I suspect that Hiro is going to end up performing most of the heroic acts attributed to Takeo Kensei, or at least helping Kensei to perform them.

Just what kind of science class was Claire taking, though?  They had Bunsen burners on the tables, but they were talking about Charles Darwin?  Was it chem or bio?  Make up your minds.
