I tried to search for a generic Radio thread, and came up with nothing, I know there was one, but I couldn't find it.

Anyhoo, in the absence of said thread, here's a new Radio thread.

Fighting Talk

Fighting Talk is my favourite show, and god bless the BBC because when I normally miss it on Saturday mornings, it's podcasted so I can listen to it at my leisure during the week.

This week's show is a good one.

When I was a kid I use to love listening to the UK charts show every Sunday. Now I just don’t have time to listen to the radio.

I listen to the radio more than CDs
all the PEELers around me (Masty, maybe Nasty)have probalby heard of 93.3 wmmr. Its a Philly area station and one of the biggest in the country (i hear)
I like classic rock stations but WMMR plays all the good new rock and metal

I've listened to 102.1 The Edge out of Toronto, through the miracle of the Internet, that's pretty good.  Nowadays though BBC Radio Five-Live is my station of choice.

Radio 1 podcasts the best day-time shows now too.  Like Moyles and Scott Mills.

There aren't many good radio stations in Newfoundland, but I love podcasts and internet radio. I'm hoping to get XM once I get a job this Summer.

I'm such a nerd.  The only things I ever really listen to on the radio are jazz stations and NPR news (some of the best news around, not to mention some really awesome interviews sometimes).  When I'm driving I usually put in a CD (jazz or movie soundtracks), but when I have the radio on it's always one of those two.  I don't listen to radio very much though.

I allmost allways listen to the Chris Moyls show on Radio One. I really like the jingles and that guy with the deep voice.

'If you want a full list of all the places we broadcast to, go to your local libary and buy yourself an atlas'

'Some say that we are responsible for the dumbing down of the BBC. They can go and [bleep] themselves'

The only thing I listen to on the radio is white noise, to try and pick up anything paranormal.

I probably should listen to NPR more often, but I just plain don't care enough to change out of my local classic rock station.

I like listening to Michigan Public Radio, our NPR station. The programming is consistantly interesting, but my favourite shows are All Things Considered, Whad'Ya Know, Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me, and that one with the flamboyant sounding man who tells stories. The only thing that bothers me is how people on NPR love to hear their punctuation.  People who have heard it know what I mean- If you can hear the difference between a dash and a semicolon, you know you're listening to NPR.

Greg Kihn has a morning show on the local classic rock radio station I listen to at work.  I really like it.  I'm gonna start calling in to him.

The best of the BBC Radio podcasts (in my opinion) are:

The Best Of Chris Moyles - Radio 1
Fighting Talk - Radio Five-Live
606 - Radio Five-Live
Mark Kermode's Movie Reviews - Radio Five-Live

Moyles is better in small doses, Fighting Talk is damned hilarious, 606 is best with Alan Green or Spoony (who I wouldn't expect to be good at all), and Mark Kermode is always good value, and is pretty scathing on bad movies.

I listen to bbc7 for comedy and xfm, bbc 6 or virgin for music.

Melll as a Spaced fan, you should listen to 99p challenge on bbc7 if you haven't already.

He is great, I'm dissappointed if he likes all the movies he is reviewing though  :p

I only listen to the radio when the tape deck in my car isn't working.  Of course, now my whole car isn't working.

I prefer Viking FM myself. Don't know why. I like a few songs on there but the presenters can really get on my tits.

I can certainly stomach Chris Moyles. The only things that I make a concerted effort to listen to though is comedy on Radio 4 such as The Now Show et al.
