Yeah, I saw most of the first season through reruns and a saturday Mencia marathon. He's pretty funny, but if Comedy Central thinks he can replace Chappelle they're sorely mistaken.

I saw Carlos Mencia on a 1st season repeat of The Shield, he's a pretty good actor, I'd be interested in seeing him act more. I do like his stand up, I saw one where he says his parents had him when they were real young, so young infact, that they were in the same school together, he used to go up to them in school and ask them for money. I found it especially hilarious that his dad told him to, "Get the hell out of here."

This is the worst show I've ever seen in my life. It's like Chappelle's Show with absolutely no satirical value, no jokes, no content, just flat out shock factor. There is nothing witty about it. There's nothing funny. It sucks. End of story. If you like this show, you're an idiot and I hope you and your entire family die slow, horrible, painful deaths.

You know "Carlos Mencia" isn't even Mexican, don't you? He's Columbian (and German), which wouldn't be such a huge problem if he didn't pretend he was a 'beaner' and derived all his jokes from that.

It's like if we don't agree with him we're the immature one's. I'll try to catch a repeat of last night's episode. On an unrelated topic, what was the season premiere of South Park about?

It doesn't matter, I saw a repeat last night.

I also saw the season premiere of MoM season 2. I liked the Wetback Mountain trailor. Also the "Act Your Age" bit.

I think Mencia should do more skits and less stand up on his show.

I think the stand-up is the best part. spaeking of that i saw carlos mencia:no strings attached, it so funny, the beggining wasnt that good, but the last half was about retarded people, and it was some of the best stand-up ive seen in a long time.

I agree with that much. He just screams things, mugs at the camera and pounds the mic against his head. Worthless.

Hahaha, nah I don't think anybody who would like this show is automatically an idiot and their families should die. I exaggerated for effect. This show does lick sweaty man balls though.

Yeah, I kinda agree. His 30 min performence on CC was alright, but it went south from there. I respect his whole liberalism stuff, but i think sometimes he takes it a bit too far.  also, the show is unfunny, predictable, and really just a waste, imo, at least.

I think the show is ok, I don't hate it, but I don't like it. I get tired of his "retard" jokes. Yeah, I get this is America and he has the right to make fun of everyone, but does he have to do the same joke every 5 mintues. I mean someone should actually count how many times he does that "retarded" noise an episode. But if you like it, enjoy. I just know there is no way Mencia is getting a "Chappelle" contract, he is not even half the comedian Dave is.

Like Mind of Mencia, this post was correct at the beginning, but near the end it lost steam and became idiotic.

All Mencia does is make fun of people, that's it. It gets tiring after awhile.
Chappelle was actually funny. He had talent, too bad he's just like every other celebrity. As Mencia would say, "He's re-TARDED." Chappelle was hilarious but decided to stop doing the show. I heard the stuff they did film was excellent though.

The thing that irks me about this show is that he doesn't even sound like he's making a joke. He might as well just hold up huge signs that say "Fuck all spic beaners" and paint a target on his head. I really don't see how it would be any different from what he does now.

I know- I remember they had this countdown of the best standup comics on Comedy Central, way before the show started, and Carlos Mencia came in at number two. He just kind of stood there and made unnessicary racist cracks the whole first fifteen minutes, like an old man sitting in one of those rocking chairs at Cracker Barrel. Then the last part, he did this stupid preachy monolouge about how we all need to loosen up about ethnic stereotypes or whatever. Towards the end, he said something like, "If you don't think we all need to loosen up, try telling some of my jokes when you're at work on Monday."

All I could think about the whole time was what an asshole he was. It's not even funny.

You know what Mencia should try?  Jokes.

Yeah, the biggest problem is that Mencia pretty much just says a bunch of faux "offensive" things and then forgets to actually tell a joke.  It's like the writers basically just thought of all the kinds of offensive things they can possibly think of that will please 18-35 year old males, and then take a pass on actually making it funny somehow.  I don't find Mencia to be offensive at all, really, but he barely even qualifies as a comedian.  If one wants really un-PC comedy on Comedy Central, they're better off just sticking to "South Park", which is much edgier and is actually usually funny in its offensiveness, and even often has some sort of point to make with it.  Matt and Trey actually remember that you need to back up that racial stereotype with a joke.

DEE DEE DEE.

I remember once laughing at a joke that Mencia made against a politician.
Or was that on some other obscure show on Comedy Central?  I can't really say I remember.   :hmpf:
