I realised the others had contact with the outside world when I saw in the last episode that they had Stephen King novels. It looked like one of the Dark Tower novels.

I'm glad Sun creamed blondy bitch.

i <3 Benjamin Linus.

See after our Ben claimed alikeness to him, the producers read that comment then decided, eep! With can't have those two be assosciated so they changed it to Benjamin...i don't know what i'm saying.

That was a pretty cool episode, but i'm forgetting people's backstories. Did we know that

Also, its funny to think that its still 2004 on the island, they wouldn't even know futurama was coming back yet...

Perhaps he underestimated them. Besides, Iraqis don't have much experience with amphibious operations.   :p

Or he did it because the script said so.

But it does make you think, that there are indeed some among the 'Others' that might know how to fight...or at least know how to capture a boat.

I bought the boxed sets a week or so ago, and i just watched "Everybody hates hugo" from season 2. Great episode! Poor hurley, but some cool things, You do actually see Sun's ring disappear when she's burying(sp?) the bottle, one second its them, then BAM its gone!!! Also, its funny to see so many dead people in one ep!!! Ana, Libby, Boones sister. Also, Lindof and Abrams you bastards! at this point it looked like jake and kate were going to get together! The whole shower scene! c'mon! ANYway. Good times... good times.

Good luck getting a polar bear into one of these cages. While they might have kept animals in there, it probably were no polar bears.

Then again, Charlie's remark about the intelligence of polar bears "the Einsteins of the bear community" might hint at that the Dharma people might have brought them there to conduct experiments with them...

However, one has to bury the "Walt created them" theory, because then there would not been these skeletons in the cave still wearing those Dharma shirts...

Maybe the polar bears are the ones doing the experiments for the Hanso Foundation, who are really just protrusions into our dimension of hyper-intellegent pan-dimensional beings...

...in conjunction with Vincent, and under the supervision of reverse vampires!

Well they did say it took the bear less time than Sawyer to figure out the food contraption.

Reverse Vampires?  Maybe the vaccine is actualy the Simpson & Son[/] tonic.

Hmmm, but these cages are definitely not made for polar bears. They are not big enough. Not to mention that I have a hard time to imagine how to get a bear through the cage door without a serious accident...

But then again, it would be a far better explanation if it indeed turned out that these polar bears were brought to the island by the Dharma people instead of saying: "Walt did it!"

Look on the webpage and see if they are still listed under characters.  Im too lazy.

The thing about the polar bears that bothers me is the fur that Locke kept finding.  Polar bear fur is NOT fluffy and white and cotton looking.  It has a quill like texture, and its a clear color, as they get the white look from the reflection of the sun.  So it means 1 of two things

The writers screwed up the science

or

the polar bears were manufactured in a lab somewhere to be a genetic anomoly

Now, where's the 'I take both!' option?

The part with the fur sounded fishy to me as well, but I think while the first option is probably the truth, we most likely get option b as an answer.

That is if it is ever addressed on the show...and I doubt that the LOST writers read this thread.  :p

He was showing them the main island, the one that everyone is from, the island they were on was a smaller prison-ish island.

But it makes you think, if they could see the main island, shouldn't the main island be able to see them?

Also, Go desmond! and i love hurly "Is that art?" "Wants some fruit salad?"

Cool ep.

EDIT: Also, yay still hope for KAte-Jack. "no, its Live together, die alone"

Lost is totally getting boring.  Why dont they..I dont know, reveal a twist or something.  Give us SOME CLUE ABOUT WTF IS GOING ON.

Also, who says that was really a different island.  Maybe Ben just took him to a place where it would look like that.  After all, he is talking about conning the con man.

Kate/Sawyer/Jack thing is just gross.  They shouldnt be dating anyone.  And Jack is too good for kate, shes clearly a whore.

Also I would marry Ben - right now.

That episode kinda went nowhere, dissapointing, they should have went with the Kate escaping plot.
Chases through jungles are always a winner, even if she gets caught or something, anything but that anticlimactic ending.

Somewhere where you could see both end of the island...and water in between. Pretty hard to fake that.  :p

Also, i'd marry Ben too, he's so cool. Seriously.

Bah, screw you you abandoners. This show is God. Never a dull moment.

It's not uncommon for Oceanic islands to form in groups, clusters or archipelagos (archipelagii?  :p )

I'd say our Losties just hadn't found it, I mean they haven't walked, or sailed around the whole thing.
