I just found out that Final Fantasy X had the main character Tidus be played by James Arnold Taylor (The tour guide slug in Fry and the Slurm Factory) and John DiMaggio (Bender) play Tidus' friend Wakka. Just thought that was amusing.

I think John DiMaggio also had a role in the crappy anime movie "Princess Mononoke"

Mononoke is a great film. Sorry it didn't have the typical "I'll be back" phrase in it.

Anyone who hates anime with a passion although they're not familiar with Japanese culture is a bigot in my book.  :D

I'm familiar with Japanese culture! I've watched 3 anime movies and one episode of pokemon! Trust me, I learned my lesson: Only watch cartoons made in countries between Poland and Hawaii.

My hatred of anime has nothing to do with Japanese culture and everything to do with how stupid a lot of the plots are and how hideous the characters and the way they make expressions are to the eyes.   :puke:

Ah, so saying "everything to do with how stupid a lot of the plots are and how hideous the characters and the way they make expressions are to the eyes." is "observant" and not biased and closed-minded. And shunning one of the BEST...no THE best forms of animation today is very dumb of you.

So much for open-mindedness and being open to other people's opinions

Get over it man, people have differing opinions than you.  Boohoo.  You can't call someone a fool for not liking the same thing as you.  THAT'S being foolish.

I didn't know anyone still liked those consoles. Anyway, the most powerful console ever is still the PC (but it might not be as cheap as the Super Nintendo... sorry, my fault)

Do you realize that you are defending a type of animation that recently had a big movie with a character called "the forest spirit"?

Well what they said about Florida being warm in the winter is wrong. We have two season here. Summer and January so if i walk outside without my pants i realize it right away. I'm usually hudled under a jacket underneath a long black trench coat and i'm still cold most of the time.

Walking around without pants in a trench coat gets me in trouble with the police a lot. I swear I'm just showing those kids the cool lining of my coat but the police INSIST I'm not.

How is refusing to acknowledge that people don't like anime and have a right to have that opinion being open-minded?

/me watches own brain explode.
After reading this thread, I have come to a conclusion.
Some of you like Anime. Some of you don't.
People who like anime are entitled to, and the people who don't are entitled to. I really don't see why anyone should get angry aboot it.
