Whats with the hate with Max and Paddy?

I recently re-watched That Peter Kay Thing and the episode with Mr Softy is the best, especially the bit with the Apocalypse Now Parody.

Never knew he and Dave Spikey fell out :(.

I take it back, Pop-Factor has already hit the mark with some hilarious gags.  Certainly points out how utterly ridiculous the real X-Factor is...  Especially the bizarre medleys, like the paraplegic couple confined to wheelchairs after a tandem jet-ski accient at Niagra, singing "Waterfalls".

Yeah it is so good so far! I like R Wayne and the old woman as the Sugar Babes.  Peter Kay is up next. Looking forward to it

One minus thing, I want to punch Kat Deeley in the face.

It's the little things which tickle me, in it.  Like the newspaper headline on the expose behind Peter Kays sex-change.  "Dinner Lady has a real spotted-dick".

Also, Peter's characters medley was the most utterly bizarre.

Yeah the bit with the newspaper exapossing the sex change was funny. Who put the cheeky girls in the show?

The whole is so funny and better then the real thing.

I enjoyed it, highlight was when Kat Deeley told the audience to "fucking shut up!", and there were plenty of well observed gags on the sheer ridiculousness of TV Talent shows, especially the plays on self-evidently-obvious presenting, and also the not finishing sentences in order to raise tension to confusing extremes.

All the medleys were beyond ludicrous, especially Peter Kays, but I particularly liked the 2-Up, 2-Down group, dressed as Superheros, flying out of wheelchairs to rescue stuff caught out of reach of pathetically poor kids.

It was an excellent parody, I was quite surprised they didn't get as cruel as I thought they were going to be.

And don't worry Juliet, he/she survived. Kay made an in character announcement about it on Radio 1 the next day apparently.

Sort of hoping it'll be back to parody a few other obnoxious reality shows in the UK.
