Everyone's list on here makes me feel inadequate especially since I'm now a film major. Regardless, with Borders going out of business I struck while the iron was hot and picked up The Shining, Halloween (1979), and Wait Until Dark. Yay!

To be honest, I only tend to watch my films when I start a new relationship with a ladyfriend and want to show them all these great films they haven't seen. How much they pretend to enjoy the Evil Dead trilogy is a good test of compatibility.

To be honest, Greedo shooting first doesn't bother me.  Back in 1997, when i first saw that scene, it had been so long since I had seen Star Wars, that I didn't notice Han shooting first.  In fact, it wasn't until people started complaining Greedo shot first that I noticed it.  That scene happens so fast that I notice the change.  Lucas changing it because it makes Han look like a cold blooded killer, Greedo had a gun pointed at him.  It gives Han every right to shot first, but the change happens so fast that I'm not bothered by it.

Nah, I just didn't really care for the new green lantern personally. Marvel's had a pretty spectacular year for movies tho; Thor, Captain America, and X-Men: First Class were all quite good. I didn't expect to care much for any of them, but they all surprised me by being great, so I'm tentatively allowing myself to be excited about The Avengers.

just order Rise of the Planet of the Apes on blu ray, got it for just under $20.  I was surprised as to how good it was since I saw it with low expectations.

1/16 just got Sin City Unrated (Two-Disc Collector's Edition) never saw the film, but heard so much good things about it, and I love on the DVD has a copy of the first graphic novel, which I've never read.

Just picked up T2 Skynet Edition on blu ray.  I heard bad things about the HD transfer for this film, so I got this edition real cheap since it also has special features not included in previous editions.
