I've been trying to use my great powers with great responsibility just like my dying cheapskate uncle taught me, but my prime nemesis so far is Region 4 Only DVD Player! (his origin is somehow tangibly connected to mine)
In the future, I'm going to drop the superhero allegory method of storytelling. 
If you can't make your DVD player region free make your DVD region free! Download a 21 day trial of AnyDVD from here and download DVDShrink (free) from here. DVDShrink is the ripper and AnyDVD will run in the background and allow you to knock off the region coding. It takes a little bit of effort, but that combo will do the job. I just used those two programs to rip my Wall-E DVD to my hardrive. The DVD skips in my old (6+ years) DVD player thanks to Disney screwing with the structure of the DVD in a half assed attempt to prevent copying. Good job, Disney! In order to get my purchased DVD to work I had rip the disk!  |

Bruce Willis, Meryl Streep, and Goldie Hawn delight and amuse in this high concept comedy! Oh man, there's no guide to make it region free? Google that sucka, some of the most obscure players just need a remote control sequence to make it region free!
