I searched this, and found threads only about the first movie.

This thread is for discussion of all things Spiderman. The comic, the live-action TV series, the animated TV series, the cel shaded animated TV series, the movies. You get the point.

So, who do you think will be the villians in the next movie. I think Sandman will be one, though not sure about the other.

I think the next villain in the Spiderman 3 movie will be Harry Osbourne, he will become the new Green Goblin after his father...

Yea thats what i think to next villain Harry Osbourne as Green Goblin and also from what i've read The Lizard is going to be in it

For the Spiderman Animated (1994) series my favourite would have to be the 90's version that was the best

Thomas Haden Church is in the new movie. I can't imagine who. It's like them having Kelsey Grammer as The Beast in the 3 X-Men movie. It just doesn't fit.

Actually Kelsey Grammer does fit the role of Beast, Considering Beast was all smart and stuff

Anyway, I can't wait till Spidy 3. Pity it's so far off, but if that's what quality takes to make then I don't mind waiting. I'll be interested in the villian twists it brings to the table...

Cast Notes: (3/22/05) The first significant bit of casting news has come in the form of Thomas Haden Church (Sideways), who will be playing the as-yet-unspecified main villain (I'm guessing it's Venom). Another bit of casting rumor was revealed recently by Chloe Sevigny, who seemed to be hinting that Black Cat (who nearly appeared in movie #2), may be making an appearance in this one instead (source: SuperHeroHype). That's not to say Sevigny got the role (if there is such a role); it's just a rumor at this point.

Spiderman 2 (Video game) is rubbish. Most of the stuff in it has nothing to do with the movie whatsoever.

Almost every movie game is like that. They give you some quests, and then they get into the actual plot of the movie. But, you have to admit, being able to swing through Manhattan was pretty cool.

You won't get any pelting from me, I went to see Spiderman 2 on the day of its release with great hopes (and expectations from reviews giving it scores of 5/5 or 9/10) and was gravely disappointed. 'Twas rubbish, just one and a half hours of Tobey Maguire sulking his way through what I think was meant to be a romantic sub-plot in addition to an uninteresting main one. Absolute rubbish. Although maybe slightly less poor than this evaluation of it. Still, the film was really bad.

The Spiderman 2 game on the other hand, was rather fun.

Also, Shaucker was right.

My thoughts exactly. The thing that made the first Spiderman movie so great was the fact that it was a superhero movie that was grounded by the Pete/MJ romance. The second movie was a romance with a little bit of superhero butt kickin' thrown in for flavor. All in all, they just screwed up. The formula for the first movie was so great, I don't get why they had to change it so drastically.

I've said that about a thousand times. I'm starting to sound like a broken record. Or...y'know...a slightly less archaic expression.

I've got an idea. As you've said it a thousand times like "a broken record", how about we play it backwards? We might get something interesting, like "Pete is dead".

I saw Spidey 2 a few days ago. It wasn't as good as I expected. The part of how some people know that he is Spiderman wasn't so good for me for something to throw into the second movie in the series. They could've done it in S3, and I would've been fine with it. Have the same S2 without Peter's identity being revealed, I personally think it would've been a bit better.

On the S3 villians, I don't think Venom will be one of them. I think they'll hold it until S4 and have someone different in this movie for Church to play. Grace might be Electro in this film, or he'll be the reporter that becomes Venom(whose name escapes me) and have him be Venom in S4. If they have Venom in this movie, it would be great. I want him, but I don't expect him. I want Christopher Walken might be a villian in S4. Oh yeah. That would be great.

I think Spiderman 2 is better than the first, and I love the romance stuff because it gives it so much more depth, there's much more contrast to the action. You're not just given the action on a plate, but when you wait for it you're rewarded bigtime. It's like having a plate full of food and you save the chicken or whatever the best part is till last and eat the vegetables first, but the chicken tastes so much better because of it...

Wow. all of this pre-Spiderman 3 talk is interesting.

Something I'd like to know. is what happened to Spiderman 4? All I remember is that it would involve the lizard, and vulture. Rumors about Carnage spread all over the net as well.

Oh, and The Amazing Spiderman did not make up for the lost movie.

Yeah next July. Mary Jane's in the 3rd one, meaning maybe Gwen Stacy will die in the second one. Not sure how I feel about that.

I've always wanted to see Gwen Stacey's death in a film, unfortunately I'm not sure the upcoming movie will do it justice as I wasn't very find of the first one.

Also, the pictures of Jamie Foxx as Electro that have been released look so, so stupid. To be fair though, the Green Goblin costume in the first Raimi film looked pretty dumb. But at least that was real and not unnecessarily shitty CGI.

I was hoping to see Gwen Stacey's death in Spiderman 4. But, that sure as hell never happened.

I doubt she'll die in the next movie either, seeing how she plays such a significant role and stuff.
