Mal: Did you tell her?
Wash: Tell her what?
Mal: Your husband has demanded that we sleep together.
Zoë: Really.
Wash: What? Mal, come on...
Mal: He seems to think it would get all this burning sexual tension out in the open. You know, make it a fair fight for your womanly affections.
Wash: No! That was just the torture talking!  Remember? The torture?
Mal: Private, it's a difficult mission - but you and I have to get it on.
Zoë: I understand. We have no choice. Take me, sir. Take me hard.
Jayne: Now somethin' about that is just downright unsettlin'.
Wash: We'll be in our bunk.

Huzzahs!
I saw the first episode of Firefly, very impressive, should have the others soon enough too.   :D

And the 2nd one, haha, that girl is weird.

All that Inara and Kaylee talk, mmmm, yes, I would, both at the same time, one after the other, makes no difference.

Hmm...after watching "Trash," the scales are being tipped further in Inara's direction for me.

All I need now is a brown coat, and a pair of braces...

Inara's by far the hottest, Nerd-o. Without Inara, there would be no swordfighting either. Even better, she can actually use a sword herself.

Girls + Weapons = Hotter.

It's true as a general rule, that reigon 1s do generally suck.  How many people were dying for a commentary on the matrix movies?

...there are also nine deleted scenes (finally, Inara gets some screen time) and outtakes. Featurettes cover the history of the 500 years between now and Serenity, the visual effects and the journey of the crew from cancelled TV show to feature film. But the real news is that we in the UK are going to get A Filmmaker's Journey, following Joss from script to screen, in a 20-minute documentary that won't appear on the US disc.

Blade: Hey cool, your fighting the Vampire GOD! thats awesome!

Blade II: Okay...so you're taking a step down, and fighting with the vampires, against their enemies. Kay.

Blade III: Cool, so now its just your all purpose vampires again, but this time you're doing it with Van Wilder.

Bump

"Take those bodys rig 'em up to the front of the ship, put book front and center he's one of us, I want him honored.  Kaylee, get that boy who was taking a dirt nap with baby Jesus: We need a hood ornament!  Jayne!  Try not to steal all their shit!"

Picture quality be damned, it's the extras that make dvds so cool.

I'm going to have a Firefly/Serenity marathon. It's going to be awesome.

I was Mal for halloween this year. My costure was pretty cool. Wish I had the gun though.

BTW. River's hotter than Inara or Kaylee

Pitt Clemens-That was the best outtake of the entire montage. I was laughing so hard. Not even Kaylee could contol herself.

Alan: My script ends after page 105.
Joss: That's because it's the end.  You land and it's a happy ending.
Alan: Oh, ok.

Joss Whedon is my new hero - he mentions Christopher Guest moves in the commentary.

I also liked how they didn't bleep out the swearwords in the outtakes.

Lord, I am walking your way.  Let me in, for my feet are sore, my clothes are ragged.  Look in my eyes, Lord, and my sins will play out on them as on a screen.  Read them all.  Forgive what you can, and send me on my path.  I will walk on, until you bid me rest.

Y'know, these DVDs have shown me why there wasn't as much Inara in the movie as one would expect.  They cut all her fucking scenes.  Seriously.  They should have at least left in "quiet moment" for the sake of all those pathetic shippers out there.  And some of the training house escape bit for people who like to watch Mal make people look like idiots.

The extended coda scene was probably not totally appropriate, but hilarious when viewed as an extra.

They're probably holding out for Inara to have big scenes in the next movie, where she gets killed and leaves Mal with REALLY nothing left to lose.

1) Mal shoots the gun out of the agent's hand: Star wars episode 4, Greedo vs. Solo.
2) Barricading the door from a zombie horde: the Dead series.

And of course:

3) the creepy, quiet girl is the only key to locate a deep space objective: OuTlAw StAr!1

I am pleased.

As for Kaylee's not getting to say golly, I'm fine with that.  Twixt my neithers was good, but I couldn't picture Gadget Hackwrench saying it...you know on second thought I can...*shudder* another untainted childhood memory defiled.
