Family Guy Officially Cancelled

Yup. Thursday's episode determined Family Guy's faith. Ratings have been extremely low for the longest time and Fox gave it up. They are going to show three reruns and then take it off the air. I checked many Family Guy websites and the official message board and it was confirmed. I'll miss you, Family Guy. You were truly a great show

That's the lowest in Family Guy history. I love the show to death and I'll miss it dearly. It was a very clever show.

Meh, I never really watched it. Only if I found it on when I was flipping through channels.  It was an ok show, too bad its gone though.

I've seen Nielsen ratings for family guy's last ep from 2.5 (nina) 3.5 (mediaweek.com) and 2.9(thefamilyguy.com).
As long as not even that is sorted out or a legid source is given, I doubt to listen to a fox.com forum post.

I feel sorry for the fans but I'm not that bothered, I only watched it when nothing else was on & I don't enjoy it any where near as much as Futurama or The Simpsons. I hope that Fox aer'nt going to be rash & drop Futurama soon aswell.

I never went out of my way to watch it and I,m not exactly mourning its death.Maybe It'll show FOX to make original shows and not rip-offs of successful shows.

They did put Family Guy in a very tough timeslot.  Right up against Thursday Primetime blood bath that is Friends and Survivor: Africa.  Sheesh FOX what did you expect?

If the ratings were low, it's because it was so hard to predict when their next new episode was. People, like me, want stability with timeslots. Baby Blues, Dilbert and God, the Devil died. Animation is where FOX is at!

those of you who are bizzarely happy about Family Guy's demise should be careful what you wish for. Once a network gets an axe in its hand, a show's closest relatives are likely to be it's next victims. Do I make myself clear?
