What the hell? Are they free? Do they require a high-speed connection?
And in answer to your questions: "No." and "Never! That award is as good as mine!"

You don't have a high speed connection? *gasp* You don't need a high speed connection, but it will probably just be more of a pain to wait for them to download on dial up. They are free, yes. Their is the Official one, that you can get from iTunes, or directly from the ABC website: http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/podcasts/102005.html There are also a lot of fan-made Lost-related podcasts, but I haven't listened to any of them so far.

Blast. I only got halfway through a download before my connection crapped out. Lousy NetZero...terminating my connection due to inactivity.

It's an iPod thing. Someone assembles a series of big audio files that can be downloaded through iTunes and listened to like a recurring, broadcast radio show. It's sort of like an audio blog.

What do you mean nothing's changed? Sawyer's got the guns. He's effectively back in the same position he was in in the beginning: he's got all the stuff and everybody hates him.
Actually, I saw the con coming on. I didn't know who was conning whom, but I knew somebody wanted those guns out in the open. I was fooled into thinking Sawyer had changed, so I guessed it was the Others who attacked Sun. Not simply to harass the survivors, but to start the chain of events that would lead to them getting the guns.
Then Vincent showed up, and I thought, "Ah ha! Evil Vincent theory: 1, Other theories: much much more." Then Sun started speaking to him in Korean, and I thought: "You fool, he only speaks English."
Can someone explain what Sawyer was doing in the house after he told Cassie he was conning her? What was the bag of money under the table? Why was he sitting in an empty car? Why was he counting so many seconds? Wasn't that waitress Aunt Hilda from "Sabrina the Teenage Witch"?

I don't see the hatred going on about the last few episodes. IMO, the show has always been more about the characterisations than the mystery island. Once all the mysteries have been uncovered, there really isn't much more to talk about, is there? If we want the show to last for more than two seasons, we should be happy that they're building a slow suspense. I admit. I'm still a little in the dark about where Sawyer found the guns at. Since he can't track worth a damn and there's no way he could have snuck up on Locke, that's kinda a big plot hole. However, I do enjoy the chaos that Sawyer being the armory will bring. The cast-aways have been much too friendly with each other for too long. With this and Charlie's potential crack-up, I think the show is heading in the right direction.
The best way for the Others to beat the Survivors (if indeed there are fewer Others than Survivors) is to split their numbers. A renegade camp lead by Sawyer and Charlie sabotaging Jack and Locke will add some great interest once/if the Others are defeated. Although Locke's potential evilness didn't show up in this episode, I still think it's there.
As for the flashbacks, I've found the last two much more interesting than some of the previous flashbacks this season. I like Charlie, and his flashbacks answered the question of "why does he have to feel responsible for Aaron?". Sawyer is and will be a bad person. As funny as he is interacting with Kate and Jack, he really belongs as the rebel. I only wonder who else will defect to Team Evil. Possibly Jin? Although I think this show has to do what "24" learned two years ago. Make the show start in January then run it non-stop until May. All these weeks-off are really killing the momentum of the show.

Score: 12/10. Comments:-An excellent episode. I had a feeling this episode would be about Sawyer, and I was right. Anyway, enough about me being right.
-As soon as Sawyer mentioned the "long con", I knew he was going to con the woman. Hell, even at the beginning (2nd flashback) I had a feeling he was up to something. What I didn't see was him pulling a "double con" on the woman. I had a feeling I should have seen this coming, but I didn't. Oh well. Oh yeah, and same question someone else had. Why was Sawyer counting? Was it to make sure the woman was gone? And did he also con the guy he was talking with in the cafe?
-I never thought Charlie was going to be responsible for anything. I mean, when I saw Sawyer talking to him in the beach, I had a feeling something was up (Charlie wanting revenge against Locke), but as soon as that scene stopped, I forgot about poor old Charlie.
-And why does Sawyer want everyone to hate him? And why would he agree to an idea like the one he did? I do have answers to my questions, but I can't put them into words right now.
-And the timer reached 0! Holy shit, what will happen? And Sayid went back to his torturing ways too!
-Last point. I loved the expressions on Locke's face when Sawyer was talking to him in the hatch, and in the previews.
-On a final note, anyone think that if Sawyer was tortured, he would give up the location of the guns? I actually thought he was with The Others, but that theory got blown away.

Mommy Hilda. Now, that were an ok episode, because it just reaffirmed what we already know, Sawyer's bad and he knows it, and Charlie has turned to The Dark Side. I honestly thought Ana Lucia whomped Sun to get everyone horny about fightin', BAM! I got owned by the Lost writers! Ho ho, you bastards! Anyway, Sawyer's gotta sleep sometime, and he can be tricked into revealing where ze guns are, or Jack and Locke and maybe Sayid can have a "hang him by his scrotum" and not really want the guns anymore anyway (don't they have a truce with The Others now anyway?)

In time I'm sure I'll regret tending to police business instead of watching Lost. At any rate, Sawyer could easily become the first casualty of IoM justice. I don't forsee the guns being too hard to find. As clever as he is, he didn't have too much time to find the guns, move them somewhere else, hide them, and return in time to taunt the rest of the survivors. In a worst case scenario, he scatter hoarded them like a squirrel instead of larder hoarding like he did with the rest of his stuff. This would make them most difficult to find and run the risk of the buried guns sprouting into gun trees.
My guess is he didn't move the guns too far from a well-known location. Perhaps they're even still in the hatch. After all, Sawyer says a magician never reveals his secrets, but the secret of all magicians is that the "magic" is illusion and that which has "disappeared" is closer than the magician would have you believe.

perhaps he got charlie to follow Locke.. planning it ahead somehow? It's the only way I could think of, unless he just was lucky and found them. anyway.. good ep.. for a while i thought the woman was conning him...and also, i'm still a bit confused, but i think he was counting to make sure she got away before she could see him go back into the house and take her money.. if that makes any sense.

He was trying to get in a quick 5 second nap and he was counting sheep... I thought Charlie was his apprentice too, but the problem with that is, was Locke in such a worried state, or in such a rush, that he didn't notice Charlie following him? Hurleys, "Or any time... just kidding dude", comment set off alarm bells in my head for some reason, as far as the overall theories of the show go.

Nice to know my soul is capable of getting action.
I don't know about the addiction or compulsion theory, but I am thinking about Locke's character more now. My prediciton is that whatever forces put him in that chair also took Helen from him. That was the name of his phone-a-whore too, wasn't it?
Or OR what if his paralysis was psychosomatic? Maybe because he was emotionally crippled, his mind forced his body to believe it was physically crippled. Or OR OR what if he has Munchausen's and was acting crippled to garner sympathy? Sympathy, perhaps, from an estranged love interest. Now that'd be twisty!

Didn't he work in a box factory? The most deadly occupation in the world? Come on, how many people do you know work in a box factory?! None? See? PURE DEADLINESS!! VF: Maybe he didn't want "one in his ear" like his con-partner said... One what, he didn't say, I hope he meant bullet... but Sawyer WAS pretty freaked out, it could be anything... (ewww, Faze, you're gross)

Indeed. *shivers* Ok, what I got was, Charlie attacked Sun, and tracked Locke. And Locke was in such a rush to hide the guns before Jack got there, he didn't realize that Evil Charlie was right behind him. Also, Sawyer was counting so he could wait an appropriate amount of time before going back in the house. That was Aunt Hilda from Sabrina in the Cafe, and also Kate's mom. (or stepmom, I don't know) And Sawyer is just a mean son of a bitch, for whatever reason. Anyone who stated this, congradulations, there's a nice gift bag waiting for you by the door. I can't wait to see what happens next. I don't care what anyone says. This is still a great show. I heard the time theory too. But there was a lot of evidence in this weeks episode that proves that they are in the current year. Although I forgot what that is. Excuse me, I'm going to watch the episode again. My mom says she didn't do drugs while pregnant with me, but I don't believe her.
