And why. Or if they just annoy you for no reason. My pick goes to:

Norm Macdonald(except when he played death on family guy).

Robin Williams.  I just don't understand his appeal.  He either plays the "Billy Crystal-type who's not funny but tries desperately to pull on your heartstrings" or the "I'm a crazy guy making jokes you've all heard before" role.  A hallmate once lent me one of his stand-up dvds, and I had to turn it off after 10 minutes.  He's so freaking annoying.

Robin Williams totally and utterly rules your arse so thoroughly it shouldn't even have to be pointed out.

Anyway, speaking of overrated comics, how about Eddie Izzard. I don't think I've ever laughed once at any of his jokes.

Rob Schneider.  "Durpa durpa durp."  That was a couple of years ago, and they're STILL giving him movies.  Chris Farley must be spinning in his grave.

Blasphemy!!! Eddie Izzard is the greatest. Although, he is very, very random, and he doesn't appeal to everyone. Fair play. Still my absolute joint favourite comedian - a position shared with Bill Hicks.

I absolutely HATE Jimmy Carr. He isn't funny, his material isn't original, he reuses it - and not like when comedians tour the same show - he just uses the same jokes for everything. If you watch Ricky Gervais, he's putting on a persona, and in reality he's probably an okay guy. Having seen Jimmy Carr on Parkinson being an asshole, I've come to the conclusion that he's not acting, he's actually like that. He actually is a complete wanker. Sorry for the rant, but i can't adequately express my detestation of that man.

Oh, I guess I just did.

not a comedian per se, but...Brendan Fraser just plain sucks. FACT.

as for "actual" comics...Jeanne Garafolo. I actually used to like her awhile back, but lately she's gotten awfully lazy & useless. Last time I saw her perform, she read her entire act from a sheet of crib notes she was holding...kinda pathetic.

I don't think Dave Chappelle is neccesarily UNfunny, like so many of those listed here, but he is definitely overhyped.  My problem with his comedy is that every other sketch is about how lame, racist and or stupid White people are.

I sincerely believe that, once his initial success was assured, every major media conglomerate that could take a piece of him did, and now laud him as one of the "new, great, black comic minds of our age"; as if we have to fill some sort of quota every few years.

Yeah, that's another one. I like Ben Stiller and all, but does he really need to be in 10 god damn movies a year?

I fifth that. I just don't see what's so fucking funny about him. I watched one episode of his show and didn't laugh once...

Chris Rock and Bill Murray. Most underrated: Will Sasso. Whatever happened to him?

Will Sasso, being the best guy on MAD TV is like winning the Special Olympics.

Well, I like Dave Chappelle.  In fact, most people I talk to love him too.  A few weeks ago, we all sat down and watched the first season of his show (we're nerds and have nothing better to do) and the nerdier you were, the more you laughed at it.  Personally, I don't think his show got really funny until season 2, but apparently I was in the minority.  I guess it's just taste.

Oh, and Rock and Murray rock your socks off.  Don't ever forget that.

Over all I think most people that come from Saturday Night Live and make movies are all over rated, especially the more resent ones. The majority of "Actors" that make movie from SNL seem to like sticking together just so they can make really bad movies. They just take their SNL characters and put them into movies which I feel is a really stupid idea because most of the characters are really only fun for a few minutes at a time, which is their main purpose.

There are of course a few exceptions to this but over all if someone from SNL is going to make a movie they need to leave their SNL characters in New York and make new ones that can be funny for more than to seconds.

MrMoose is wrong.

"most of the characters are really...fun for a few minutes at a time"

Couldn't be more wrong about that. Otherwise I agree.

Yeah, let's see a full length movie with Dieter. I'd pay for it.
