I saw Blind Ambition a few days ago. It was a good episode, but I thought that Peter versus Chicken II was too random, too long, and dumber than the first one. I laughed when I saw the Indiana Jones nod during it.

You know, you've basically listed the 3 reasons why people LIKE that scene.

Really? I heard the complete opposite from an [Adult Swim] bumper. They said, "There will be a new episode this week, and it'll be the last one until they decide to show more new episodes."

Keep in mind that that is not an exact quote.

Tonight's episode, "8 Simple Rules for Buying My Teenage Daughter", was excellent. The Simpsons reference, the breakfast machine, the Hitler and Eva Braun bit, the vomiting scene, and the scene over the credits were hilarious.

'Family Guy': "8 Simple Rules For Buying My Teenage Daughter".

SCORE: 9/10
COMMENTS: As HomerJBrannigan said, this episode was excellent. I couldn't stop laughing at the vomiting scene, and the Hitler & Eva Braun bit was funny too. The only reason I didn't think this episode deserved a 10/10, was because of Meg's bitchiness. I don't think she's the type to do that, plus it's not funny. (ex. "You fat son of a bitch!" ) (At least for me.) Finally, that bit with Lois at the end was also hilarious.
I'm glad FOX isn't censoring this stuff. If they were, the episodes wouldn't be as good.

Great episode.  Loved the vomit scene, and Stewies plot. Thought some aspects of the Meg plot were a little weak, but over all a great episode!

OK, what the f*ck? I remember Peter said he would run for mayor in the next episode of 'Family Guy'. (He said this last week.) Now, unless that was a joke, what happened? It didn't happen in this week's episode. Did FOX once again screw up the order of the episodes?

Other than that, I thought this week's episode was pretty good, but in my opinion, was missing something to give it a perfect score. I'd rate that episode a 9/10.

Yeah, why would Peter run against a great mayor like Adam We? He'd have to be a reta.... oh wait, never mind.

Great episode.

Did anyone read the article in Blender? It was pretty good. It said there would be 32 (or 35) new episodes, is that all in this season?

I saw "Petetarded" the other day and I loved the thing with Lois's tumor.

I BELIEVE it's all for Season 4, but it's just for the production season - the broadcast season will much more likely be shorter. But this is just an assumption, I have no information to back this up. I'm just going by Fox's stupid airing pattern history.

@ Spacedal11: That tumor should get it's own episode.

@ Beamer: Thanks. Although I can never say anything Fox does is stupid, since they brought Arrested back for a third season.

As much as I love Arrested Development, the greatness of having a new season of that still doesn't change all their other stupid decisions, and their awful airing patterns. Let's face it - their airing patterns have affected Arrested Development, too. They aired Missing Kitty AFTER Altar Egos and Justice is Blind, resulting in fucked-up continuity regarding Tobias's storyline in prison. You can't say THAT didn't piss you off...

Anyway, back on topic, I heard Fox also ordered an additional 20-something episodes for Family Guy with the new 35 ordered for Season 4, since all 35 new episodes have had their scripts finished now... This essentially puts Family Guy's total number of episodes to over 100 - more than doubling the number of episodes they had before its original cancellation.

Great news, although I can't help but be a little worried this might result in so many episodes they have an entire broadcast season solely for catching up with the production season... just like Futurama's 5th Season. And we all know what happened there...   :hmpf:

You didn't notice Tobias in prison for Staff Infection, then out of prison for Altar Egos & Justice is Blind, then BACK IN prison again for Missing Kitty? I don't care how stupid you claim to be (even though judging by your post quality, you're not), a retarded monkey could've noticed the continuity error with that.

Or he could have watched the episodes on DVD, like I first did. On the season 1 DVD set, the episodes are shown in continuity order, so it's entirely possible that he didn't notice FOX's ordering mistake.

Too much Lois lately.
And it's kinda weird to see them promoting the next season of Family Guy, which is less than 2 months from now, when this one hasn't even ended. How many more eps are left? (From now until September 11)

To make this post Arrested Development related, it's summer! Where's Arrested Development?

Fox will start to air the second season reruns of Arrested Development tonight at 8pm. Starting with the first two episodes.

That's what happened. I didn't see a lot of the episodes until I bought the DVD. I saw some episodes on a marathon FX put on. I wish they would have done that this year for season 2.

Thank You. That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.

Now back to Family Guy: I don't think they'll kill Meg off, she's too important to the show.

If they killed off Meg, then they'd jump the shark. First, Meg is too important of a chracter to kill off. A secondary character, like Cleveland's son, could be done away with. Second, if they had a plot with Meg dying and coming back alive, what would they do? Have it all be a dream? They've done that one, so let's go to the next one; Meg gets into a coma? No, sounds too cliche. Let's try a different one...Peter gets stunk by a huge killer bee and goes on a wild journey inwhich he believes that Meg died from the bee, but actually he was in the hospital? In short, the only characters that could die are secondary characters. The moment they get rid of one of the main characters, some of the fans will go.

It'll probably be like that scene from Blind Ambition, where Meg is armless, legless, blind, deaf, and dumb. The island scene will probably just be a flashback or something.

*********SPOLEER ALERT******************

The fact that it was censored was all that kept this show classy! I watched the movie and it was alot different then the show with all of the cursing and what not. What I was surprised about most is the sequences were Peter and Lois were teaching their kids how to court. Some of it was a little racy at times hinting at incense between Lois and Chris twice and Peter making a reference about Meg sexually stimulating two guys at once. Over all it was a great movie until it got to the time machine stuff. If they had gone a little more in depth about their lives in the future, it would have been better.

It was still funny, and one joke about obtaining a bootleg version of the film made me feel a little guilty.

I'm sorta annoyed that the movie is just 3 episodes from the current production season put together, they could've at least done something completely new.

That said, it was still very good!
