I didn't see a topic on this.  It's this pretty darn funny Canadian show.  I watch it every Friday. (no, I'm not Canadian.  However, I'm so close to the border I get free Canadian TV.)  They even had a * rated movie that was never released outside Canada.  Anyone besides me and perhapes one guy ever seen it?

The show, yes; the movie, no.

I have watched it in the past, but haven't recently, as it is too formula-bound, so it seems like there hasn't been anything new from them in a while. I haven't seen the movie, but I want to. Not enough to actually watch it, though.

I've started watching it again from time to time now that most of the original cast has come back. As Ranadok said, it tends to get a little formula bound. The Adventures segment, and a few others are good for a few laughs. I liked it alot better before the "New" Red Green Show era.

Our PBS affiliate airs it 10:30 on Saturday nights; I watch every now and then.

I grew up on Red Green! Then again, I am Canadian. I actually saw a live taping of the show in Toronto three years ago (It was free then, I'm not sure if it is now) and had a great time! I haven't watched in a while though, but I haven't been watching a lot of tv since coming to university.

I've seen this show, in Canada.  I was amused by the irony of some flaming homo trying to act like everyone thinks he's rugged and manly.  I was also amused by the Stroop effect on the title card.  The show itself reeked of trying too hard.  I don't like sitcoms.

I'd say it's more of a sketch comedy than a sitcom and based on the sets I would not say it suffers from trying *too* hard.  ;) Still I have a warm spot for the show. especially the older ones with Hap Shawnesy (played by the amazing Gordon Pincent).

Gorden Pinsent, is my best friends 3rd cousin or something to that effect. He is indeed an awesome actor. They do try too hard to be funny on the Red Green Show sometimes, but that still doesn't stop some bits(especially older ones) from being hysterical.
