If you saw a weird commercial what would it be?

Mine would be the Finding Nemo commercial with the talking shark kid saying, "Fish are friends, not food." Then his mom says, "What was that, honey." And the shark kid replies, "Nothin, mom." And the weirdest part was it was in live action, not antimated.

There are those Cooper tire commercials where you see a family member being yelled at by another family member. All you hear is "I can't believe it...it's just stupid, that's what it is", and then you see "BUY COOPER TIRES!!!" and you're thinking "Wait a minute...did I miss something?"

They had these commercials over in Australia a year or so ago, encouraging people to eat meat... It was just a father yelling at his son while he was eating, just saying "You can do it, son! Don't stop there, have some more lamb! Oh, he's going for some more!"

It showed the father doing this in several different locations with different days of the week coming up down the bottom of the screen, then after it went through the whole week - some stupid "We like to boogie" song came on, and it just cuts to the father & son dancing over a blank white background. Then the words "Eat meat" came on the screen, and that was it. What the fuck?!

I once saw super bowl commercial for some kind of investment company. It was a monkey and a guy sitting down in a driveway wearing the companies T-shirt, the monkey started dancing and then an announcer said, "We just wasted 4 million dollars, how are you using your money?

The PEEL commercial:

The screen displays what you see when you look at the average desktop. Somewhere on there is an IE logo, and we see the mouse cursor hunting for it, to the acocmpaniement of muttered curses.

Finally...

[Announcer:] Gotcha, ya' fucker!

The Announcer clicks on IE, and it opens on www.peelified.com,  displaying "PEEL - reach out and touch the sewer."

Music starts to play in the background - something like Bat Out Of Hell or maybe Paradise City. The mouse moves to "Offtopic Discussion", and the screen explodes outwards in a cloud of shattered glass.

When the smoke clears, we see a classroom full of people, watching a teacher point things out of a blackboard. [-mArc-]'s avatar is superimposed over her face. We fly out of the classroom, look back at the door, which is marked "rules", and then into another room, marked "no rules". People run around with PEEL avatars instead of faces, bawling at the top of their voices.

The balrog from LOTR steps into the room, with VelourFog's avatar instead of a face, and yells "SHUT UP!", then morphs into a sweet little girl, who joins in with the yelling.

Some n00b says "lol", and several PEELers stab him to death. As the blood flies, the screen fades to PEEL blue.

[Announcer:] Visit www.peelified.com  - you'll be glad you didn't come sooner!

OK, there were genital herpes ads back in the 90's where they'd show a bunch of guys and girls at resturants and football games talking about how it burned when they urinated, or how they have blisters.  The announcer comes by saying the following are symptoms of genital herpes, but there is hope.  Later in the commercial there's a woman in a white dress on a swing with really happy cheery music, at which point I'm usually screaming "Turn it off, for the love of God!"

I hate, hate, hate, the Ovaltine commercials.

1st runner up is Old Navy.

Neither of them are so much weird as they are just FUCKING annoying.

Hmmm. Hard to say, we don't get weird adverts in the UK. Just painfully annoying ones.

I always remember an old commercial for Sprite-

A family is sitting at a table drinking an orange soda drink, which has a cartoon sun on the label. Without explanation, the sun suddenly comes to life and starts flying around the room, whistling. Everyone gets scared and screams, the mom runs away, and the dog starts barking at it. After about thirty seconds of this, it then shows us a bottle of Sprite.

I've seen this commercial only twice.

An old man and his wife are in bed, and she says, "dont worry dear, its ok". And then he looks down stares.
Then the commercial filks to this white screen and there are all these men in white overalls tring to operate this crain, but it keeps falling down, then they get this hose and spray it with some liquid and then the crain springs up. And then we see the old couple coverd in the blankets.

you have to see it, and when you do you'll laugh hard.

That skittles commercial is the best thing going right now on television.  Not enough candy companies have death in their ads.
And I'm not just saying this cause Skittlz pays the bittlz

There's a 3 (mobile thingy boby shitty) advert which basically consists of two aged SE Asian gentlemen in cowboy outfits in their appartment with a gigantic jelly-fish like creature with a head like a Tesla coil, which they refer to as "her". They've only just found her, as depicted in the longer version of the advert, and they offer her a drink which basically looks like Vimto in a pickle-jar. She sucks it up and starts pumping out techno music that the men start to break dance to uncontrollably.

And the tagline is that "we believe in sharing"
I suppose there's a subtle message in there somewhere...

There's this great advert for Luzacade which has just started appearing on TV. It's an animated advert, showing these scientists looking into a microscope. Then one of them turns the radio on, and the microbes turn orange and start dancing. Then the scientists do too. It's so cool  :D

Weirdest commercial? The reebok defy convention one. With the guy jumping over the car, the cell phones beating up the business man and smashing his cell phone, the kid in the helmet, the pieing of Bill Gates, the guy escaping the electric chair, etc.

Yes. Where the hell do they find these people?

I just thought of another one. It's some commercial for Volkswagens or whatever, and this guy is at a car lot. He's afraid that someone's going to test the car that he wants to buy, so he licks the handle to make sure nobody can get in. What is that?

I was watching episode 401 of "Mr. Show" on DVD last night, and they said on the commentary they were parodying the old "Anacin 3" commercial from the 70's in one scene.  In the commercial, two housewives are at a loud-ass rock show, and one complains of a headache.  The other says "Take three!"  "Three Aspirin?"  "No, Anacin Three!"

Is this ringing a bell?

There are these car commercials... All for the same place, it's called Van Dyke collision. Some of them are just plain crappy- but others are weird beyond belief.

Like this newest one:

There's this little girl playing with her friend in a giant field. Laughing, singing, skipping. Then it fades to black: "Van Dyke Collision"

WTF??

I shudder each and every time I see that!  There are soo many things wrong with that picture UGH!  :puke:

Anyhow, the weirdest commercial I've ever seen has to be the Twix commercial.  Some lady in the office asks a co-worker to hold onto the other half of the Twix and not to give it to anyone, not even her.  She then comes back and asks for it but the guy won't give it to her.  Then she tackles him and shouts out something like "Give it to me now!" and it shows the other people in the office looking in on the two and it looks like they are getting it on!  It's a great commercial but a bit creepy.  Kinda makes you wonder what they can get away with nowadays for commercials!

Hmm the weirdest commercial I've ever see has to be those Smilin' Bob commercials for "Enzite: Natural Male Enhancement". It was so weird but it absolutely cracked me up the first time I saw them. They used to air on Comedy Central so keep an eye out for em.

Those Emerald Nuts commercials. Some are hilarious, others are just plain "um..."

And that Netflix commercial - I believe it's Netflix, at least - where the woman is crying after apparently having attended a funeral, the mail's dropped though the door and a netflix movie is part of it, and she jumps for the netflix package but catches herself at the last second. Who the fuck thought that that commercial would be funny?

Has anyone seen that new Subway commercial where the guy asks to take a bite of the other guy's sandwich, and when he opens his mouth, it grows to epic proportions? That was one of the creepiest things I've ever seen on television...and I watched ten minutes of ER once.

EDIT: Dang! I checked and everything! My sincerest apologies.

Okay, then. The one commercial for Pop Tarts. Where it's very poorly animated and the Kangaroo hops up to this boy and eats his Pop Tart, to which he gasps, and apropriately enough responds, "You ate my POP TART!" He hops into the Kangaroo's pouch, throws out various things, until he finds his lovely Pop Tart and eats it. "CARRAAAZY GOOD!"
