ABC's new TGIF line is as followed:

8 Simple Rules
Complete Savages
Hope and Faith
Less Than Perfect

I for one, used to watch the old TGIF, remember:

Full House
Family Matters
Boy Meets World
Step By Step
Teen Angel
You Wish
Sabrina The Teenage Witch

and others.

What were your favorites?

I used to like Step By Step. It was a good show.  I used to have a crush on both Dana and Al.  Carol was also hot in her old age.  Cody was also cool, I didn't like the fact they fired him from the show.

I haven't ever been greatly fond of ABC's TGIF runs...  Most of those shows I just can't stand.  However I do recall watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch on Fridays, that show is funny  :)

About Step By Step, I didn't like it when Cody left the show.  It was due to the fact that in real life he was arrested and the producers wrote out his character.

CBS pretty much gave one more season to Step By Step, after ABC cancelled it and brought Cody back as a guest star.

CBS also gave one more season to Family Matters.

CBS pretty much ruined Family Matters a bit.  From out of nowhere then made Laura fall in love with Steve.  It wasn't like how Leela slowly started to like Fry.  You noticed that throughout the whole series.  But on Family Matters, you were sure that Laura only saw Steve as a friend.  CBS totally changed the characters of the show.

I've been watching Family Matters and Boy Meets World on ABC family and I forgot how much each show sucks.

Family Matters- Steve Urkel fucked up this show.  They should've written him out by Season 2 before they decided to make him the star.  Family Matters would've became the Cosby Show of the 90's but Steve ruined that with a bunch of B.S. with his inventions.  I think I really didn't liek was when he'd break something and they used the fact he had feelings as an excuse for not being made at him.  Steve would've gotten his ass kicked in the real world.  He should also be arrested for stalking.  He stalked Laura for years, and her dad was a cop.

Many of Steve's alter egos where retarded.  There was Steve Urkel, Myrtle Urkel, Stefan Urquelle, Bruce Lee Urkel, Elvis Urkel, and then OGD. I hated Myrtle the most, she was so annoying.

Boy Meets World-- Cory was a pussie, plain and simply.  I remember an episode where he pushed a teacher [His real life older brother] for hitting on Topanga.  They made a big deal and said he hit a teacher.  He just pushed him like bitch.  If I were him, i'd punched him right in the face.  I also didn't like they implied that Cory and Shawn were gay.  I always considered that as an insult to real gay couple.  With all due respect to real gay people, Cory and Shawn were fags.  Not for being gay, but just being too annoying.

Topanga was hot, and what the hell did she see in a pussy like Cory Matthews?  I was begging Harley to pound him every week.

Shawn Hunter- I also hated and I liked it when bad things happened to him.

Eric Matthews- How did he get so stupid in the last season?  I can't stand watching the last season of this show without wanting to see Eric get his ass kicked.

I used to love TGIF, they were all Miller Boyett shows (Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Perfect Strangers) Family Matters lost their edge when they switched focus from the Winslow family tackling real-life, family based issues, to Urkel's scientific inventions

I was never into those TGIF shows.  Anyone remember one called "Camp Wilder"?  I kind of liked that one.  It came out in 1992.  To me, Urkel was overhyped on Family Matters.

Another thing, the cast of Boy Meets World once was showing previews to the new ABC Saturday Morning cartoons.  Sonic was one of the shows.

I remember that episode.  That was so fucked up.  Bruce Lee must've rolled in his grave.  I remember the following episode they tackled a serious issue about gun violence.  The message doesn't work if you do illogical shit and then try to do something serious.

Oh man, I loved the original TGIF.

Back in the day, my favorite shows were Sabrina The Teenage Witch and Teen Angel.

I miss Teen Angel, that show was soooo good!  ^_^

I wish I knew some place where I could watch it again!

(all the good shows get canceled, it's not fair)

I watched Sabrina all the time, but I never cared for the other shows as much. Of course we always watched Family Matters too. Even the reruns on other channels. And yes, they do cancel all the shows people generally love. But, if they get Futurama going again, others may follow example....but that's a long shot.

I loved that show too, but I can't even remember much about it anymore. He died and became a angel to help out some other guy, right? It must have only been on for a few weeks.

We don't have TGIF line-ups...but we had a lot of those shows...Sabrina used to be on every Friday, I remember watching the first episode. And Full House used to be on in the afternoons. Family Matters was on when I was really little I think. I remember Urkel. Boy Meets World was on Saturday mornings, as well as Saved By the Bell... Heh. That's it, I'm leaving *grabs time machine*

I saw an episode of Family Matters that made sense for once.  It seems Urkel is living with the Winslow family in the last few seasons and because of all the accidents he causes, Carl's insurance company wants to raise his rates prompting Urkel to move out.  Too bad it didn't end that way, it wouldn't been great to see Urkel kicked out in the streets.

Actually, if I remember correctly, Teen Angel aired for at least one year (almost 2).  So I think it was on for about, one and a half seasons.  I could be wrong though, since I didn't look the show up or anything.  That's just what I remember...

Anyway, Teen Angel was about a guy named Marty Depolo who died by eating a very old hamburger.  I think he ate it because of a dare or bet that he made with his best friend.  Shortly after eating the burger, he died, and then met up with god - who appears to him as a "head", whom Marty liked to make fun of by calling him Heady.  LOL.  XD

So, Marty was made guardian angel of his best friend (whose name I forgot).  Now obviously, as an angel, he had special powers and he would often abuse those powers, which would get he and his friend into trouble "accidentally".  But mainly, his job was to protect his friend using those powers.  And also, there were rules that he had to follow while being on Earth (I've forgotten what the rules were, as well).

Anyway, I enjoyed every episode of Teen Angel.  It was an awesome comedy show, and I think Mike Damus (who played Marty) was a great actor.  The funny thing was, I had a crush on the guy, back when he was on Teen Angel.  I liked him a lot.

I wonder if there are any episodes of Teen Angel on YouTube (that would be so cool, if there were...).

I remember there was one episode of Teen Angel, where Marty appeared in ALL of the shows on TGIF (at the time)!  I'm not sure how they made this possible, but he was in all of them.  I remember him showing up in an episode of Sabrina, and in an episode of Boy Meets World.  I don't remember what the storyline of Teen Angel was, but somehow, it affected the other shows' storylines as well.  I LOVED how they did this!  It was amazing!

Hmm, I believe the episodes of the TGIF lineup for that evening were based on some kind of theme.  I don't remember what the theme was though.  Halloween perhaps, or maybe it was Valentine's Day?

That wasn't God.  He was God's cousin, Rod.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the storyline where Salem the cat was in every TGIF show, and each show was set in a different decade because Salem had eaten Sabrina's "time ball"?  I think I still have those episodes on tape somewhere.

Well, that show's my memory of Teen Angel is very fuzzy, heh.  It has been years since I saw it, so I don't remember much about it, other than the general storyline and faint memories of certain episodes.

Though, I could've sworn there was something similar to that, but where Marty had appeared in every show instead....

I don't really remember.  I would've had to have taped all the episodes of Teen Angel (dang it! curse my not having any knowledge of how to record TV shows back then!).

I don't think it was ever mentioned again after the first episode.  Marty always just called him Heady.  They would occasionally mention God, though, so it was clear that Heady was a different entity.

There might have been.  If so, I think you're probably right about it revolving around a holiday theme of some sort.

Hmm. Maybe it didn't air for so long in Australia. I don't really know. I don't remember as much about the show as I do with, say, Sabrina, where I could remember the stuff about her levitating in her sleep years after having seen that pilot ep only once. I do remember Futurama was on in the same hour as Sabrina at one point, and I had an ep of Sabrina recorded on tape with what I think may have been When Aliens Attack right after it...unfortunately I had to record over all my stuff because mum wouldn't buy me more blank tapes. Aww, also Goosebumps. Hehehe *regresses into childhood* Those were the good old days.
