They cut Gail Kim?  what's a matter with them?!?  She was a fine wrestler, I liked that thing she did, where she would do a hurrica-rana, and turn it into a arm bar half way through.  Palumbo and Test might go to TNA, I mean, if D'Lo can make it there, anyone can.  Who here thinks Vince has his hand in TNA?

There are already new(er) cuts.  Supposedly, now Rodney Mack, Jazz, Johnny Stamboli, and Rico(?!?!) will join the others in the unemployment line.  I doubt anyone will shed a tear over the first three, but Rico Constantino is a solid and enjoyable wrestler.  The fact that the WWF couldn't market him is more a fault of the writers than him.

Why?  They having fnancial problems?  What I don't understand, if they need to cut people left and right, why are they still doing these stupid Tough Enough shows?  Take care of the people you already have first.  The WWE really changed, this isn't the same company that made a star out of Triple H and Stone Cold, when WCW couldn't.  They need to get back in the game, what they need is some real competition, like when they had the Monday Night Wars.  They were really creative back then, they were on the ball, now they're just doing "enough" to keep viewers.  But to be honest, i've lost all interest in Smackdown, it used to be that i'd be P.O.ed when I missed a Smackdown (like last year), now I don't care.  I was however interested when they brought in Viscera and Gangrel.

Yes, the WWF is bleeding heavily financially, and they have been since Wrestlemania 18 (or whenever the WCW/ECW invasion ended.)  Buyrates are down, fewere people are buying the ppvs, fewer merchandise is being sold, etc.  It all started with the flopped invasion and continued on once no new popular wrestlers managed to get pushed.

I think Vince and the WWE have been losing money ever since they tried branching off and doing the XFL... We all know how bad the XFL was or maybe we don't since no one watched it.

WWE's real downfall came with the demise of the any real compition. When Vice feels he has no compition he does whatever he wants and everything goes down the drain. Then he goes though a downturn in both the quality of writing, and profit for a few years until he comes up with something big. That's the stage they're in now. Vince is trying to come up with the next Hulk Hogan, Rock or Steve Austin. That's why you see alot of what are in Vince's eyes "Failed expirments" being released recently. The same thing happened in the early to mid 90s. Remeber how bad everything was back then until the came up with the whole "Attitude" image, and beat WCW into the ground with it ratings wise a few years later?

Anyone else think SmackDown! vs. Raw is awesome? I'm a real wrestling purest so I love the increased emphasis on things like working the crowd and actual wrestling (dirty/clean meters, improved weight detection, much improved reversal system) and the deemphasis of a huge ridicules backstage area (The helicopter they had in it last year was fun, but didn't really belong in a wrestling game).

Yeah, i've been playing it nonstop since I got it on Monday.  But I prefer the season mode from HCTP, the story in Smackdown vs. Raw is awesome, don't get me wrong.  But I like when you got to pick who was on what roster, and what show you wanted to be on.  And what happened to the tag team titles?  I'd prefer a better season mode, even if it means sacrificing the superstar voices.

The WWE needs a new Austin or Rock.  I remember back in 1998, one of the reasons why I tuned in to RAW was to see what Austin would do during the Austin vs. McMahon feud.

I'm not suggesting an Austin clone, but I want to see the type of Hell raising that Austin used to do.  Nobody seems to do that now.  RAW and Smackdown are somewhat predictable in many ways.

John Cena should be going after the WWE title now.  I'd also like to see RVD face JBL for the title and actually win.

RAW, HHH needs to take a break from the title.  It would have be cool to see Batista challenge Randy Orton for the title and see Batista step out of the shadow.

Snitski needs to face HHH.  I hope, pending on if HHH's team wins at the Survivor Series, that Snitski does get a shot at HHH.  I also want to see Edge get a shot.  I'm tired of the title going from HHH to one superstar and back to HHH.

I agree with Fryfan. Give HHH a rest already. Plus they should more outragous things. I remember one Raw where they had Austin beat up Lita with a chair and then stun her. They should do more stuff like that as well.

Gene Snitski is pretty much capable of that.  I saw what he did to Kane.

Smackdown really needs stuff like that.  Brock Lensar breaking Zach Gowen's one leg and throwing him down the stairs was a classic.  I'm disappointed in Heidenreich, he's supposed to be out of control and yet he doesn't do anything really outragous.

I remember on Smackdown in 2001 Austin beat the hell out of Michael Cole.  Back then, I never thought Cole would ever get beaten up.  All Heidenreich does is read him a poem?

I think they should put Austin in the WWE games, he's as much a legend as The Rock is.

It looks like Batista will go after the title, earlier this week when Triple H left the title in the locker room, Batista picked it up and stared at it.

  I agree with fryfanSpyOrama
about Heidenreich, they hyped him up for awhile then they have him reading poetry, and dry humping Cole against a door?  To quote Hurricane "Wuz up wit dat?"

And whatever happened to Mordeci?  They hyped him up then he just disappeared.

I just went to wwe.com to check out the new homepage and I saw that they got rid of Rico, I was told he was let go, but I didn't believe it.  Why would they let him go, and who's next?

Marc Henry is set to return in Jan.  The World's Strongest Man just needs a little redirection.

Lrrr2004- The WWE realised Mordeci was a lousy gimmick, so I think they sent him back to OVW for more training.

Team Orton wins.  Team Orton controls RAW for one month.  I hope HHH loses his title and Evolution disbands.  RAW needs to be more entertaining and Evolution has lived out its usefullness

Smackdown really needs help.  JBL still retains his title?  Come on, that is crap.  I know he was going to win since he promised to leave Smackdown if he lost.  That was a clear sign he would win.

What do you mean?

I'm glad JBL won the title from Eddie, but Booker T should of beat him at Survivor Series.

When is Kane going to return?  And is he going to be a face?

The WWE is going back to Iraq this holiday season, does anyone think it will be better, or the same as last time? (Not that it was bad, but alot of the superstars like Kurt and Brock didn't go for some reason.  Although Stone Cold did go and he Stunned Vince McMahon.)

Linda Miles aka Shaniqua has been released from the WWE.  The number is at 11.

Team Awesomeness is back, for one night only.

Edge and Christain were forced to team up against Benjamin and Chris Benoit.

Edge and Christian lost, then Edge attacked Christian.  My question, where was Tomko?  Edge was beating the hell out of Christian, and Tyson the so called "Problem Solver" didn't assist CC (Captain Carisma).

But it was great to see the 7 time tag champs team together again after 3 years.  It totally Reeked of Awesomeness!!

Does anyone remember WWF No Mercy for Nintendo 64?  I liked that season mode better than the recent ones, you got to choose a title, then you fought for it, and you could play for the title 5 different time, and not go the same route.  I wish they would do that now, except more recent of course.  I'm not sure if they can or not, maybe a cartridge game can hold more than a cd game can.

No. No it can't. Not the Nintendo 64 ones at least. You can make cratridges that can hold more information than cds or DVDs, but the production costs would be so high, you'd pay out the ass to buy a game. It's much more economically sound to use DVDs. I'd chalk the problem with recent story modes up to pure laziness.

One of the reasons why I didn't like invasion thing was because it wasn't the true WCW involved in the invasion.

For WCW after Shane owned it, he didn't have Sting, Lex, Flair, Steiner, Jarrett, or Goldberg.

Buff Bagwell was around for only for the first few weeks and then disappeared.

To me it wasn't really WCW that invaded WWE in 2001.

I personally loved the Invasion Storyline. That was the time when my love of wrestling was at it's highest and I found some of the matches and storylines of that time period to be some of the best EVER.

The Invasion was good, but only for the first two PPVs.  The first two months of WWE/WCW matches were good.  But by Sept, it got a little boring.  I was glad that Vince dumped that invasion crap before 2001 ended.

Vince is crazy, I just saw the beginning of tonights episode of Raw, that was hilarious.

But back to business, the Invasion storyline was cool, but fryfanSpyOrama is right, they didn't have the top dogs, Lance Storm is a great wrestler and all, but he is no Goldberg.  They should have kept WCW and WWE apart, Vince could have ran both secretly, or sold it to Shane for real, like when Vince's dad sold him the WWF.  Vince could have used the competition.  Now he's the king of the mountain, with no one to threaten his title.  Unless you count TNA, (which I don't) they have the talent, but the storylines are boring as hell, and Jeff seems to control the title, like Triple h does on Raw.  I haven't followed much, so I don't know what's going on now, but i'm sure it's the same.

I have a question for everyone, last week on Raw, Maven had the chance to either have a shot for Triple H's title or join Evolution, he choose the title shot, and supise suprise, he choose the title shot.  But my question is, if you were givin that same opportunity, which would you choose?  I would join Evolution.  I Evolution, you get everything that you would get if you were the champ, without having to fight for the title.  You get women, money, cars, and women (did I mention that?)

Yeah but you wouldn't be the champ. You wouldn't be the best. You'd just be another cronie. I'd go fot the title shot.

On a side note, Triple H's plan to get out of the title match was actually pretty good. Plus Edge vs. Benoit in the cage was awesome.

Maven's been in the WWE for three years.  Heck, Orton won the title only being in the WWE for two years.  You could be like Brock Lensar and earn your shot in less than a year.

I'm pissed off that Batista continues to be HHH's bitch.  I was hoping he'd finally decided to step out of HHH's shadow.

Who do you think deserves to be World Champion?

Benoit or Edge.  Personally, I think it should be Edge.  The Ref, attempted to make the pinfall before Edge tapped out.  I saw the Ref making the pinfall count before I saw Edge tap, and logically Edge should be champion.  Like Edge or hate him, he should be champion.  I'm a Benoit fan and he's a top contender, but Edge should get the title.  Anyone is better than HHH.

I can't believe Maven is going to turn heel, well maybe he can finally win a title.

Also, one thing I wish WWE would bring back is the Hardcore title.  One of the reasons why it got boring was because of that stupid 24/7 rule.  I'd like to see the hardcore title brought back and not have that 24/7 rule.
