Nick (Winna), I highly doubt that Adult Swim won't order a second season.
Cause I expect them to order at minimum 8.
From the AS Boards and TV Tome: 'The Venture Brothers will move to 11:30/2:30 EST starting Saturday October 9th.'

TV Tome Description of next episode:
"Tag Sale - You're It! Always short on cash, Dr. Venture decides to unload some of his father's old scientific equipment in a huge yard sale that attracts fellow scientists and super-villians alike."
Apparently Dr. Girlfriend appears in this episode. Maybe some new villains we haven't been introduced to yet?

I have a problem with The Venture Brothers now. No show should be allowed to be this funny. Tonight's episode, "Tag Sale - You're It!" had me rolling on the ground laughing and crying so much. The minor recurring characters are awesome and incredibly well-developed this early in the show. (Dr. Girlfriend, Dr. Oprheus, Triana, The Monarch's henchmen, Mr. White & Master Billy Quizboy, etc) Not even Futurama, at its height, was able to top itself with each subsquent episode. Comedy gold, thy name is Venture.
And, is it just me, or are Hank and Dean almost non-existant in their own show? Dr. Venture, Brock, and The Monarch almost dominate every single episode. I'm not complaining or anything...

I don't they were ever intended to be. But all I know is that that line about Anne Frank and Lizzie Borden had me rolling on the floor for like 5 minutes. I seriously wanna meet the writers for the show and tell them how great this show is because of them.

Dr. Girlfriend is probably one of the single best original female characters ever in the history of adult swim.

THE FOLLOWING IS THE BEST LINE FROM ANY ADULT SWIM SERIES - EVER! Monarch: Hey, guess what? Nobody cares who would win in a crazy fantasy fist-fight between Anne Franke and Lizzy Borden!

You want to "meet" college Brock just so you can break some poor Japanese kid's heart. You heartless bitch. I'm really digging all the continuity in this episode. Venture, Brock, Underbheit, White, and the Monarch all went to the same college? Even Hank and Dean had trouble buying that. Although I kinda wanted to see how Venture destroyed Underbheit's jaw. The Action Man returned, yay! Underbheit and White are still trapped in the dungeon, boo! Brock kills someone and casually informs Venture his dead died. Yay!

I loved the editing with the alternation between the past and present when Brock goes nuts at the end.

I wish they'd gone into more of the Monarch and Venture's relationship in this ep. However, the little bit he was in the episode was great. Not many archenemies keep in touch like Venture and the Monarch. Wonder who paid the collect charges...

To see how bored I was, I calculated back to find out when exactly "Past Tense" took place. If Doc is 43 (as previously said), and VB takes place in 2004, then he'd be born in 1961. This jives with Rusty's apparent age at the begining of "Ghosts of the Sargasso," when he, as a child, witnesses Major Tom's death. If Doc was born in 61, then he'd be in college between '79-'83, presuming he didn't skip ahead any grades. The film version of "Blade Runner" came out in 1982, so what we're seeing takes place in the '82-'83 school year, probably. If Brock's a freshman then, he'd be four years younger than Doc, making him 39 right now. That kinda makes sense. In conclusion, Venture, White, Underbheit, White, Brock, and the Monarch are all between 39 and 43. Which does make sense, when you think about it. If the boys are 15, then they'd be born in 1989. If Venture was correct at losing his virginity at 24, that would be 1985. So it's completely possible that the boys had a real mother between those four years.
