Here's a link to a clip from the new show we're doing over at Rough Draft Studios. We did Futurama, you know.

Futurama? Hello,. . .Anyone?  Futur-AMA?

here's the clip..

I hate to badmouth Rough Draft, if you indeed work for Rough Draft, but that looked pretty lame.  I mean, the animation was alright, but whoever green-lighted that show should be dragged out on the street and shot.  Not surprisingly, the show'll be on Comedy Central, which has a horrible track record of original programing (South Park and TDS excluded).

Not particularly funny. I kinda liked the premise, but there wasn't much substance to back it up.

Animation is fine, but get better writers.

I don't consider honest comments on the show to be "badmouthing," neccessarily. I put up the link to hear what you think, so I'll take what I get. I think the show looks good and is funny, but I've seen the whole thing, maybe the clip doesn't do it justice.

I do think it would be a little extreme to shoot the guy who green-lighted the show, however. (Especially since they provided us with a year of employment.)

Hope you check out the full show in late October. It'll be on after the new South Parks.

Being as honest as possible, I just didn't find it funny.  The idea is somewhat intriguing, but it needs to move away from the needless sex jokes and more towards an actual parody of reality shows.

The animation is good though, so you should feel good about that.

I actually like the concept alot, seems quite clever if you think about it. The web toon character is crass and low brow like web toons often are, the 50s stlye musical princess is unintentionally racest much like the Disney films from that time peroid, and I thought the Bettey Boop style character who has gotten fat over the years was pretty funny. However, as DTB said, I just didn't find the sex jokes funny at all. It just seemed like the writer was trying too hard to get some laughs. Did he/she happen to write Striperlla as well? Because that's what it reminded me of, way to forced in that department. I'm sure the general masses (I.e. people not posting on this messgae board) will love it though.

Yeah, but it's a work in progress. There was an unofficial one a while ago, but it only seemed to confuse and upset people.

Nicely animated, good premise- but could run out of material pretty quickly. Wouldnt a parody of a reality show get old just as quick as normal reality shows?
I could be wrong though, I'll watch the first one at least

Okay, um...I really have no clue as to what to say about that clip...The introduction of all the characters was funny as hell, but the second part was just...weird.

It'll probably get higher ratings than Chappelle's Show.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread about "Drawn Together" since it debuted tonight.  I watched it, and laughed out loud several times, though it does have some potential shortcomings.  If I have a favorite character at this point, it's Spanky Hamm or Toot.

Anyone else watch it tonight (10/27/04)?

I saw part of it, during commercial breaks for the Sox/Cardinals game.  It wasn't nearly as bad as the little preview posted above made it out to be, but I still can't imagine a sustained series based on this concept.

From what I did see, the show has too many characters.  Get rid of the female Pikachu and merge the yellow weird dude into Spanky Ham and the cast would be much more managable. That way, you have all the 'Real World' stereotypes in one house: the gay guy, the misogynist, the crude center of attention, the bumpkin, the angry black person, and the depressed girl.  Much better.

I saw the first one, and I really enjoyed it, I thought it was really well written actually. But I fear that it will quickly go down hill.

Captain Hero and Xandir are awesome.

Does anyone know if the "Coming this year on Drawn Together" teaser at the end was real or a joke? Because a lot of that couldnt easily fit into the house, and most of them were movie parodies

Well then your nightmares have come true! New episodes have already apparently been ordered.

Personally, I like the show, some of the jokes are weak, but it is funny overall. Material shouldn't be a problem, seeing as how people keeping coming up with stupid reality TV show ideas for them to make fun of.

Of course, it still doesn't beat Futurama!

The show is kinda like Family Guy but Family Guy is 200% better.

I watched half of an episode of Drawn Together and had to turn it off.

I've only seen one episode of Drawn Together.  That one where the 'Superman'-like character dates the 'Princess' character's retarded cousin or something.

I didn't like it at all.  Too dull and in absolute bad taste.  I wanted to scream when that song playing over and over "Girly, girly, girly, girly, girl!"

I liked the first episodes, especial with the octupus in the princess' vagina. It's a pretty extreme show. At some point the show just started to be disgusting visually. They just try so hard to be extreme, it's sad.

*shrugs* I liked it. Me and my roommates watched every episode. Granted it's no Futurama, but in a choice between this and family guy, i pick this.

I love this show. I don't know why, it has that kind of random humor that Family Guy has, and yet is as raunchy and offensive as South Park. I just cannot help but crack up watching that show. Good news for me (bad for many folks in this thread) that another season is comming up. They're ordering something like 16 new episodes.

I couldn't form a strong opinion of this show, but I watched every episode of it. You know how movies like Austin Powers and Napoleon Dynamite are generally stupid movies but have lots of funny parts that keep you watching? That's what this show reminds me of. But who can resist a show on the edgy side? A show with no educational value whatsoever that's good for nothing but cheap laughs? I sure can't. Substance gets old real fast.

Unfortunately, looking at the last episode(and seeing what Comedy Central's done in the past with The Man Show and Reno 911), you know they're going to wipe out all the characters and replace them with a set of new characters that are similar, but much duller.

Judging by the last ep i think they're gonna turn their big brother parody into a survivor one.

Hell, parodying a new reality show every season? Awesome! Take THAT you lazy FOX executives! And hire some writers!

So episode 6 wasn't aired because it made fun of Christopher Reeves. I'm wondering if it's possible that it's available through other ways. Is ep 8 out too?

Captain Hero uses his X-Ray vision to spy on the girls in the shower. As a result of doing it too much, Foxxy recieves a brain tumor. Afterwards, Captain Hero feels so guilty that he decides to give up his powers, and the only way to do that is fall off a horse. Which makes Captain Hero a quadropoligic in a breath-controlled wheel chair.

I really love that show. Here are my thoughts about the characters:

Captain Hero: is ok and he has some funny parts. Best bit is where he dates Clara’s special cousin
Princess Clara: one of my fave characters. The weird thing about her is that she has an Octopussy vagina. It was also a good episode too. She looks a lot like Aerial from Disney’s Little Mermaid.
Toot Braunstein: I love this fat Betty Boop character and I think she is the best. She has a temper like I do.
Foxxy Love: I want to be like her. I think she the one that solve problems all the time. the only scene that makes me think about her the most is where she snogs Clara in the tub.
Spanky Ham: he ok. He remind me of Bender
Ling-Ling: awww he a very cute Pikachu character.
Wooldoor Sockbat: he so annoying. I don’t like him
Xandir: he is gay but I think he the hottest character from the show.

Because no one watches the show.  Or they do, and maybe they even like it (I've got nothing against it myself), but they have nothing terribly important to say about it.

Well it only just started here in the UK and I love it. I have been downloading all the episodes and I am looking forward for Season 2 to come along. Anyway I like to post this which is my fave song:

Princess Clara: What is this thing in my mouth?
It's slippery and it's slimy,
Traveling down my slender virgin pink esophagus.
Some black chick's tongue.
It's such a new sensation.

Foxxy Love: I got a mayonnaise mama on my lickin' hole
And we've only just begun--

Clara: It's really quite thrilling

Foxxy: It's right. Now you know.

Clara: I can taste a filling

Foxxy: And it's solid gold

Clara: I never dreamed I would be so willing to let myself go

Foxxy: Tell me about it!
I'm totally frenching a racist 'ho!

Both: This black chick's tongue

Clara: What a wonderful feeling

Foxxy: Damn where'd this bitch get her earrings?

Clara: I've never had so much fun

Both: As with this black chick's tongue.

Captain Hero: How cool is this?
We've only been here a day
And I already find myself in a 3-way!
