I looks as if Homer is gonna win this one. I always expected Bart to be the winner of this sort of competition. Well, ya' win some, ya' loose some.
Sideshow Bob rules! Still.

Still Sideshow Bob.
He's literate, knows the entire score of "HMS Pinafore", is a criminal mastermind, has an obsession and probably the coolest voice of all Simpsons characters.

The following is from The Simpsons Archive with minor edits: "Andrew Milner has some comment on the connection between The Jack Benny Show, and The Simpsons: The unctuous waiter ("Mmmmm...Yes?" ) in tonight's episode was a takeoff of a regular character on the old Jack Benny radio/TV series during the 1940s-1960s. The character regularly appeared smarmy waiter or salesman or some such who always introduced himself with "Mmmmm ...Yes?" His obnoxiousness always made Jack boil to a slow burn." Scene: The Springfield Dinner Theatre. Homer: "Uh, excuse me." Usher: [bizarre, sycophantic voice] "Yeeeeessss?" Homer: "Do you have a table for the mayor?" Usher: "Yeeeessss!" Homer: "Why do you talk that way?" Usher: "I had a strooooooke!" ------------------- Just me: I loved this character in his first appearance (the episode Mayored To The Mob)--the bit above had me stop the VCR to roll on the floor crying with laughter for a long time--but think his subsequent appearances (as a Costington's employee and ice cream man) stink, lacking the utter shock-value of the "stroke" gag and the effort originally put into his "line" by both actor and animators.

How can anyone possibly hate Maggie? She has only said one official word, and ony a few words at all in the whole show! I wish some of the others would learn from her example! which actually brings me neatly on to an episode I saw recently where Homer got his jaw wired shut and became a great listener. Excellent episode for recent times anyway. As for the smaller characters, Sideshow Bob and Snake have always been favourites of mine. In the episode where Homer sets up a bowling team, they are playing the springfield cops and villans team (It's been a while since ive seen it so dont shoot me for getting the lines wrong). Wiggum: OK Snake, you're our only chance. *lets snake out of cuffs to take a bowl Snake: *stepping up* One, Two, Three... FourFiveSixSevenEightNineTen *runs out of the building* Bye! Wiggum: Er, we forfeit. One of the greatest lines ever. And from the episode where Sideshow Bob runs for election... Announcer: *speaking over a campaign ad for Sideshow Bob election campaign* ...Mayor Quimby even released Sideshow Bob from prison. A man twice convicted of attampted murder. Vote sideshow bob for the election.
