...that one of the orphans Bender adopts looks an awful lot like Amy? I'm talking about the one sitting in high chair at Elzar's (see http://www.gotfuturama.com/cgi-bin/imageview.cgi?/Multimedia/FrameGrabs/3ACV09/Grabs/pic00426.jpg  )
I wonder if I'm tthe first whoever noticed it. I wonder wheter it was intentional or just a coicindince. Maybe Amy got pregnant during one of her short-lived romances and had to live the kid at the orphanarium...

So she's Asian/martian. That doesn't mean they're related in any way.

Coincidence, and the fact that there are only so many different ways to draw characters in the Groening style.

Bender looks sort of like Homer if Homer was made to look like a robot.  David A is right it is just the way Groening draws.

And, of course, all Asians look alike.

It's all coincidence. There's only so many ways to draw characters that some are bound to look alike.

I don't see all that great a resemblance myself. Asian and vaguely similar hair. That's about it.

Similar hair but not so similar skin and face.

Not intentional I think. Maybe thats just the style that Groening draws Asians.

One reason: coincidence and they don't really look alike ... two reasons: coincidence, they don't really look alike and the limitations of the Groening style ... Three! Three reasons: coincidence, they don't really look alike, the limitations of the Groening style and fanatical fans looking for connections that aren't there .... I'll come in again.
