In "Mother's Day" she doesn't wear her fat suit and she is mean to everyone out right. What happened?
I haven't seen Mother's Day for a while, but didn't it involve her taking over Earth with the help of all of her robots? If I was taking over the planet I might not bother keeping a nice-guy facade going. In 300 Big Boys she's back in the fat suit, but still talking like the evil woman she is. Then again, she was around rich folk, not the masses who she needs to win over with her loveable image. Back to the topic of the post: I'm voting for Amy. I love Hermes; I just came here from posting how cool his name was! He made me briefly rethink my opinions about bureaucrats, until I remembered that he's fictional I think Amy only works in conjunction with Kif.

I'm voting for Hermes. He had his good moments (at the sun in The Farnsworth Parabox, his brilliant song) but seems to act mainly to tell the crew where they're delivering to. The Professor can do that.
However, I do agree that Amy kind of ruined Kif. I loved him in the first episodes, when he was sarcastic and dry. He was the perfect match for Zapp, and brought out all Zapp's qualities perfectly. However, after they met, Kif became nervous and lovey and submissive. It was annoying, because he was so funny before. So if Hermes wasn't part of the equation, I'd vote Amy (don't kill me Kryten!). I especially hated her in The Farnsworth Parabox, with parallel Amy. That scene was stereotypical, annoying, and un-Amy-like.
And to some extent, I agree with aslate - good old Zoidy is overrated! Lobstertainment was a terrible episode, and in WMIBACIL he was so selfish and thoughtless - hardly himself at all. I think he's best for one liners, now and again - (Blood... thicker... than... water...) but wouldn't be sorely missed, as the episodes which have a lot of him in them are really the worst ones, in my opinion.

Nobody would particularly stick in your mind, but hey, that's life. Not a bad idea for a tv show....after 1 season, kill off one, or the entire main cast and start fresh....then the same again in the next season....that'd be new and interesting I reckon....oh my yes....
