I love Fry.  Not in the way of the ancient greeks but in the way a man loves a dog, a robot loves a human and occasionally a gorrila loves a kitty.

Seriously though I'd give him a big hug, if he weren't a fictional character.... and we weren't both men.

I love Fry. I love Fry as much as a 12-year-old girl can love a cartoon character and still be considered mentally healthy. He's saved the world twice, and even though he's as dumb as a rock, he always means well.

The scary thing is that I really do have a shrine to Fry in my closet.

Hey, Fry's basically me with 1/3 my IQ and better luck (most of the time.)  I can't hate what is essentially a more TV-ready version of me.  I love me!  Not to shrine level though.  I'd also put in another Bender quote explaining platonic love between men, but I'm tired.

Not hot in the way of sweaty sultry men on calenders, but hot in the way of adorable nerdy guys who would find sex with a fangirl as exciting as a weeklong go-to-the-front-of-every-line-even-in-front-of-the-wheelchair-people-and-free-food-at-every-restaurant VIP pass for the independent city-state of Disneyworld. 

That sort of enthusiasm, when mixed with a good heart, is hard to resist.

I like Fry as a character.  Even though he may be a wimp, sometimes he can be a hero.  It's cool that even though he's dumb, he could have smart moments as well.  Fry is a cool character, hell, all the Futurama characters are cool in their own way.

Though I think Fry would be slightly better if he were scrawny and pale.

You'd be surprised.  I think pasty, pencil-necked computer geeks in thick ugly glasses and pocket protectors are pretty sexy, and Fry's doing arguably better than they are.  He runs to pudgy rather than skinny, but not to actual obesity...he's got a pleasant face and decent hair.  He ain't eye candy, but he isn't repulsive, either. 

Fry LOOKS okay, which is how he managed to attract girls like Michelle, and the woman in the Hip Joint - his nerdity comes out in his behavior rather than being stamped on his face.  Kinda like Mulder.  (Heh. )  But I find nerdy behavior endearing and attractive, and why not?  I AM a nerd.  I went to a high school full of computer and engineering nerds, and it was the first time I ever "fit in," even if I was more the literary arts type.  Nerds are My People.  Why should I NOT like the men of my native tribe?

I admit he's quite the handsom character. If there was someone in real life that looked like him exactly, that would initially shock the hell out of me, then I'd slowly accept it...maybe. Anyways, he's damned nice looking for my standards and those are set pretty high for me. I don't do the foloowing guys: low rider pants, low rider cars, pimps, guys that think their hair is really important.

Fry's my favorite character (though I love them all). Not only is he hilarious he also has hair that wants to go upwards like mine. My favorite thing about him though is his sweetness. One day I hope to meet someone as sweet as him...
