Back on topic, how does it not bother you girls that Fry's personal hygiene is... well, less than hygenic?

Huge mushrooms in the shower, covered in bedsores, fat sack of crap, do noe of these comments set off alarm bells?

I'm not just asking because you're so far off topic that the topic is now in another galaxy, it's something that has intrigued me with regard to Frylovers for a while now. How would you get around such an obvious hurdle?

Yeah but he's so cute, I mean he wrote an opera for the girl he loved, he tried to finish it without his decent hands, he put himself in the way of a space bee to save her, he gave up things that made him better to see if she really loved him, he wrote a love note with stars...he's wonderful.

As much as I love Zoidberg, a lot more of him then already would be awful. He's the comic relief, and having him on-screen constantly would get old fast.

Whenever Futurama has a moment without jokes, they throw in Zoidy. He's the comic relief if there is one.

Jle, what's wrong with Zoidberg? He's funny...  Granted there isn't much else to him, but he's still likable.

On topic (maybe), a short thought about Fry:

Fry is almost perpetually being manipulated and yielding his judgment other people. I think this is probably because, not being too bright, he was conditioned to not even consider his own thoughts and instead go off of those of others - Bender, Michelle, Leela, etc. Fry's lack of judgment might not be bad judgment, but just that, a lack of it. He might not even consider that he could have a good idea, and his overcoming this slowly through season's three and four is a big part of him growing as a character.

I don't see how anybody could hate Zoidberg, he's the source of a lot of great jokes.

How could anyone hate Zoidberg?  The character is hilarious, but with a good heart.  Remember, he's the only main character that Santabot gave a toy to, because he was judged as being nice...

This reminds me of that Simpsons episode, where Homer accidently learns to glove slap people & challenge them to a duel, to get his way (with the B-52's singing "Glove Slap" to the tune "Love Shack" in the background, no less).  That is, until he glove slaps the wrong guy, a Colonel Sanders like Southern man, who accepts his duel, and waits for him by camping out on his front lawn with his RV...

Zoidberg is GREAT he deserves more recognition. He has so many subtle little quirks that make him so much more that just a pathetic loser. I was thinking of compiling a zoidberg biography detailing his many little foibles in one place...perhaps then ALL could see his greatness!!

Zoidberg's a great character because he's the quirky, sort of hated on guy, but he still remains lovable. I mean, a jewish lobster, that's brilliant in itself. Plus, he has great lines.

Yeah, I'm sorry to say, but I'm not a fan of Zoidberg either. If Zoid is your favorite character, then that's good for you, but I've never been fond of his role.

I agree he can be romantic, but it seems to me that he succeedes in being so when he isn't trying, but rather when he simply tries to do the right thing, or do something nice for Leela.
