Who does Leela like/love most?

After making a "Who does Leela hate most" thread, I suppose the next thing to do is to make a "Who does Leela like most" thread. Here my explanations for the candates:

Nibbler: Nibbler is like Leela's baby.

Fry: The nicest guy Leela ever dated.

Amy: Though they fought a lot in the past, Amy understands Leela better than the rest of her co-workers, them being the only female employees in the company and all.

Kif: Though Kif has never been a love interest for Leela, he is one of the nicest and responsible people Leela has ever known.

Sally: Leela knows how Sally feels, being a social outcast, and Leela admires how Sally manages to be happy despite her abnormality.

her parents: Obvious choices.

Prof. Farnsworth: Gave Leela a job that made her life more pleasant.

Jrrr: Even though Leela is very glad not to be Jrrr's mother, I'm sure she stills thinks and cares about him everyday.

I would probably say Fry after the last episodes ending, or perhaps even her parents, tough choise but fry gets my vote.

She definitely loves Fry, even though she doesn't really realize it. There are so many moments where you can see this, and the biggest is the entire "The Sting".

Nibbler comes in at a close second.

Before the last episode, I would have to say Nibbler. She seems to love him very much. She doesn't seem to like Fry because she never goes out with him. Although I agree they would make a good couple...

I'd say her parents, followed closely by Fry followed by Nibbler.

Perhaps sometime in the fictional future, or if the series is continued, the answer will be Fry. However, as the series stands now I would say her parents.

Huh? When did Fry and Leela date? They've had fake relationships, a friends day out, a walk in the area, but never an actual date (although Leela-1 have].

A pretty good candidate, but Leela and Amy's relationship is more one of sibling rivalry.

 

Kif: Though Kif has never been a love interest for Leela, he is one of the nicest and responsible people Leela has ever known.

And Leela would rather abandon him to Zapp than spend one more second listening to his whining.

 

Sally: Leela knows how Sally feels, being a social outcast, and Leela admires how Sally manages to be happy despite her abnormality.

Leela feels some kind of bond with Sally, but her decision in "The Cyberhouse Rules" seems more like one out of pity, than anything else. And Sally really doesn't seem that happy.

 

her parents: Obvious choices.

Agreed.

 

Prof. Farnsworth: Gave Leela a job that made her life more pleasant.

He also send her on numerous suicide missions and jump at the oppurtunity to take her organs. At best she toelrates Farnsworth.

 

Jrrr: Even though Leela is very glad not to be Jrrr's mother, I'm sure she stills thinks and cares about him everyday.

That said, I'll vote for her parents. She obviously cares about them a great deal, as evident by "Less Than Hero" and "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurddles".

Although Bender, the lovable rascal, is another candidate.

I more saw it as a friends day out. Leela was only supposed to distract him, she didn't plan for it to turn into anything romantic. It just happened on it's own.

Presumably, they dated at some point during "Time Keeps On Slipping".  They both lost the memory of that time, though.

Also, it certainly looked like they were on a date in "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles".

Okay, I'll grant you TMLH, but Leela wouldn't take a bigger liking to Fry over a presumed date she don't remember (and I just realised you mentioned that possibility too heh, slow day for me today).

It's hard to compare, because the way one loves a spouse is (usually) different from the way one loves parents.  So she loves Nibbler as a pet, her parents as parents, and as for Fry, well... she seems to love him in a protective way, though towards the end of the show it had grown into something more, but people still argue about that.

Last ep - seems like fry, although I think she would put her parents fisrt if you consider every thing else that has ever happened to her (an aside -  isn't her dad a clool character!)

Around second season I would definantly say nibbler - who always rivals fry i think.

Fry, obviously.  They were married in Time Keeps on Slipping, they are married in The Farnsworth Parabox, which is supposed to be an exact duplicate except for coin flips, and through so many episodes like The Sting, the Cyber House Rules (at the end when Fry walks into view in the hole of Leela's picture), and Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles.

Second I would say Nibbler.

I think you have to assume they went on a date after "The Farnsworth Parabox".  At least she agreed to one.  Remember her line, "You know, let's just say it's heads."  Of course, it was never mentioned again in subsequent episodes.

I think it's a close call between her parents and Fry. But my tie breaker was the fact that she chose to repeat her childhood with her parents rather than to grow up with Fry and the rest of them in TMLH

I would go with Nibbler...she loves Fry but is confused about it, and she loves her parents but she's a little ashamed of them too...but Nibbler...he can cough up huge hairballs and roll around in his own hair and mucis and she still thinks he's the cutest. I mean, Nibbler is dumber and grosser than Fry.

Well, Leela loved Fry in "Parasites Lost" and they were married in "Time Keeps On Slippin'," even if it was just for a little bit. So for these reasons (and probably more), I voted Fry.

I'm gonna say Fry, because I'd like that. But also, she has to love him to get him out of all the trouble she has. He's not just co-worker. And we all saw that on the last episode. She loves him, but denies it to everyone, even herself at times.

See, this is why I like Amy better than Leela.  Amy liked Fry the way he is.  Leela wants an improved version of Fry, as if he's not good enough for her or something.
