Is Amy Wong a skank?

She is a very free spirit, but she does some pretty slutty things. Like in "I second that Emotion", when she's at the bar with Leela, she meets Armando and goes to the back seat for some coffee 

She is very loyal though, never cheats on her guys.

Maybe in the future our primitive sense of modesty isn't capable of grasping it.

Thoughts?

I was very scared, hoping not to offend someone with this topic. I think it's a pretty open question that needs to be looked at fairly, by the fans.

In "Put your head on my shoulders", it was her who first asked Fry "So, wanna do it?" At that point Fry didn't think about her as a girlfriend.

*Edit: Also, in the same episode, Amy was prepared to have sex with her Valentines date while Fry's head was still attached to her shoulder! That of course, doesn't happen because he gets saved by Leela, and according to me, was the first instance Fry really fell hard for Leela

I'm not offended by the topic, but I think that you could have phrased the question differently.

Anyway, put me down for no.  Amy may be a bit, shall we say, easy; but once she's in a relationship she takes it seriously.  That's not what I'd call a skank or a slut.

Also, here's an observation: Fry gets around a lot more than Amy does, but no one calls him a skank.  Double standard?

Nope, the very first was in, 'My Three Suns' when Fry thinks Leela was killed, because of it he crys.
But Leela jumps in and he's happy, so in a much more funny note, everyone gets to kick the crap outta him!

I think it all actually started with Space Pilot 3000. She quit her job simply because she couldn't stand to be so mean to him, and it gradually went up from there in the series.

I think that Fry isn't considered a skank because almost every time he sleeps with someone else they advance on him, while Amy advances on almost everyone. I Roomate, is the only time that we saw Fry being the one trying to go for it.

I wouldn't say she's a slut or anything, she's just not a very good judge of character, and is really easy to con (hell, even Zoidberg tricked her 8 times in WMIBACIL). Most guys would obviously get the better of her and use her for sex.

However, she WAS a bit borderline in Season 2, but they've definately put that side of her to rest since she's been dating Kif.

Actually, according to Urbandictionary.com, skank seems to mean both.

But since I don't know how much you can trust Urbandictionary.com I'll just say that Amy is, if you have to lebel her, a "Slut" and not a skank.

She's easy, and dosen't seem to have anything else on her mind than to look cute for boys. Therefore some people might label her as a "slut".

She ain't too bright. She lives a party/clubbing lifestyle. She knows why kind of man she wants, and usually gets him, no doubt. Is she a slut? No by MY definition... i.e. girl who'll bed ANY one...
Anyway, she was growing out of the whole party thing by the end. Which is sad. At least she still fell over, sometimes...

I think there are hints of Fry having a crush on Leela as early on as SP3K.  I don't really see it in M3S, though.

I have to vote no. While Amy might've been quick to hit on guys and invite them home to her apartment when she was single, she has been completely faithfull to Kif after they became a couple.

She's young, like to party/have a night on the town and she is very attractive. Naturally she'll come into contact with a lot of men, and the ones she find attractive will most likely get lucky, but as it's been mentioned several times, she does have standards. She's probably turned down her fair share of spleazeballs.

Partygirl? Yes. Likes to have fun? Yes. Easy? Yes, to a point. A "skank"? No.

Well actually, that's not fair. We never see the results with some of these guys. Those we do see aren't much better choices. Season 2 Fry isn't that great a catch. Kif is kinda pathetic, though he has his moments. The rest are probably just looking for a good time.

Not saying Fry isn't a good choice, he has great qualities. We just don't see them in PYHOMS

Alkazar tricked her into it.  What he did may not exactly have been rape, but it wasn't that far off.

To sum it up, I'm no sure what Amy's true personality is/was/will be prior to AMWitM.
She may have been a skank/slut/tramp, she have just been young and naive, she may have just been trying to find someone to conceive children with to please her parents. Nut by the time of AMWitM, Amy was no long a skank/tramp/slut, but was a lonely woman.

don't forget Farnsworth - he couldn't wait to get his hands back on Mom...oh my! See, there's your problem.  You're assuming facts not in evidence.

The only person that we know Amy had sex with is Fry.  It's implied that she's been with a lot of other guys, but we really don't know for certain what does or doesn't happen off screen.  Maybe Amy just has a bad reputation.
