I don't think they'd add a new character either. I mean - you're already got Fry, Leela, Bender, Farnsworth, Amy, Zoidberg & Hermes. You've also got Cubert, Scruffy, Nibbler & Dwight if you class them as main characters. Why the fuck would they add another?

Come one now, everyone has an opinion. There's no need towards hate when you didn't include an option that many people would pick. There's no need to add a new permanent character, as there's a lot already. Any new character would be minor and only show up in a few eps.

I don't think they'll add anyone, it would ruin the show, good thought though, I agree with Dr.Morberg, IF they do, it'll be someone who shows up rarely... like Scruffy... the Janitor

I don't really think that there is any major character role to fill in Futurama, so there is no need for any new characters.  Any new major characters (besides the usual minor characters that slowly evolve into major ones, like Scruffy was in the middle of doing) would be totally uncalled for.

I don't think they need a new character, but I do think that if a new season is ever produced another semi-main character will come into the show. Probably a girl too.

I thought it was kind of sad that no one else would at least feighn interest in voting on a perspective new character, so I through in a vote to shake things up. Go pitty votes! (Where would Kim Cambel be without them? Oh Wait....) Also I'd really like to see the whale biologist from 300 Big Boys return if the series were ever to be renewed or a movie made. I know he's not a "new" character (Spl'uh, he's already apeared), but I thought he was pretty funny.

an alien, a mutant, a pet(alien), a robot, ethnically diverse humans of various ages, both single and married persons.

No that takes a while for them to grow up... I'd like to see an offspring of Leela and Fry at the END of a new season, the writers would have to do something to get them together, and wrap up the show with a child, or something...

I'd quite like to see a new character. But it's probably better if they don't. If they do however, I wouldn't like it to be one of the main characters, just someone who turns up in certain episodes, like Zapp or Mom and it would be pretty cool if it was another bad guy.

I wouldn't like to see a new character in all honesty. Although at the end of "Fry and the Slurm Factory", I had it in my head that Slurms would be a new character after he said he wished to go back to Earth (I thought that until he got squished at least).

No, like Seven from "Married ... With Children" and Poochie from "Itchy & Scratchy" (and to some degree Seven from V'Ger). Scruffy was always intended to be part of Futurama and never really raised above being a minor character.
