Various related searches produced nothing. Out of the main characters, which is your favourite NAME?   :)

Hermes Conrad. I don't know why, maybe the fact that it sounds incredibly cool when said by someone with a Caribbean accent, especially Barbados Slim.

Can I have Barbados Slim as well? I just like the Caribbean, I guess

I'm going to have to go with Zoidberg.  It's just a clever name, sounding alien and Jewish at the same time.  And the fact that his first name is something common like John is a nice touch.  After him, as far as the other options on the poll, I'd say Bender, Hermes, Leela, Farnsworth, Fry, and Amy, in that order.

I love the whole "Bending's my middle name!" scene, so I'm going to go for Bender.

Fry + Bender are both good names. But I'd go for Fry in the end, it just suits his character rather than Philip.

Okay Hermes have two votes and Leela none, how does that compute? Turanga Leela is a pretty cool name. Alien sounding, yet rolls easily off the tongue. Plus it's named after a symphony, that's classy.

And apparently some weird Aussie amusement park sounds somewhat similar.

Fry and Bender both have names that remind me of John Hughes films, so they get points for that.

Leela makes me think of Doctor Who.

My favorite is Amy.  I just like that name.  I don't know why.

Although it's not on the poll, Horrible Gelatinous Blob. From the poll choices, Zoidberg.

Turanga Leela. It's a real name, but obscure enough to sound alien. For all you Fry fans, I know a whole bunch 'o people last named Fry.

Hermes and Leela.
Pretty cool but if Fry introduced himself like this:

"My names Philip, from the screwdriver"

everytime I might've changed my mind.

I vote Amy by the way for the following reason...

(We like the letter U over here!)

It is quite chronic for me as well. A girl with that name automatically gets extra "points" from me!

I also think Fry and Zoidberg are well suited and funny names as well. They did a pretty good job when coming up with all the character names actually.

That's fine for you, but I'm American.  If I used the British spelling it would just make me seem pretentious.

I'd have to go with a certain character named after a 10-movement symphony by 20th century French composer Olivier Messiaen.

You're thinking of the Taronga Zoo. It's the biggest, most popular, most touristy zoo in Australia. Not a weird amusement park

Leela's a pretty cool name, especially since 'lila' (pronounced Leela) means 'purple' in German!

Yeah, I just remembered some park in Australia was named like that, so I took a chance. Besides people amuse themselves at Zoo's as well.  ;)
