I think that all of the Futurama fans would have kicked a hole in their TVs. I mean, all of season 4 they were using the Fry and Leela relationship more. It would've really screwed up the flow of the series and it would have been completely disjointed from it and the continuity of the show.

Now, I've noticed a tendency for this thread to get rather silly. Now I do my best to keep things moving along, but I'm not having things getting silly. Those two last posts I read got very silly indeed, and that last one about the bed was even sillier. Now, nobody likes a good laugh more than I do...except perhaps Nix and some of his friends...oh yes and PCC Fred. Come to think of it most people likes a good laugh more than I do. But that's beside the point. Now, let's have a good clean healthy outdoor thread. Get some air into your lungs. Ten, nine, eight and all that. Originally posted by Woodbot 2.0: Wait,The Robot Devil would take over Amy's body and hypnoties Fry to wright a musical for Amy so Fry would lose Leela so Fry would give him his hands back. Wait...
Only ony problem, Beelzebot is a robot, not really supernatural. As such he can't posses biologic organisms. As for Fry writing a opera to Amy: idea rejected as being too silly.

Leela doesn't do that on purpose! That's one of the reasons their relationship is so sad.

Fryman, you are 100% wrong about Leela. (Right on, Xanfor).
Leela pointedly did NOT interfere with Amy and Fry in PYHOMS. She defended them against Bender's avaricious insinuations, and when Fry was freaking out, she tried to bring him back down to Earth. Despite the fact that she had already shown jealousy in the Titanic episode, she was as supportive as a friend could be in that situation.
And she did nothing to interfere with Michelle, either, which, because she didn't see Michelle do anything particularly manipulative, means once again she behaved as a good friend should. She was perfectly polite to Michelle, which, considering that the woman was being a spoiled, whiny baby who was rude enough to scream upon seeing Leela's one eye, shows how sterling Leela's character is.
So, sorry, Fryman, you don't win the new hovercar, or the case of Nice'o'Roni, or even a lousy copy of our home game.

Originally posted by David A: I dunno, I don't think that screaming is that unreasonable a reaction to have upon seeing a cyclops for the first time. She seemed to have no trouble conversing with Leela after the initial shock had passed (although she was still visibly frightened by Zoidberg). I wouldn't exactly say that she was being rude. Yeah, I see your point. Okay, I'll give her that. It wasn't so much Michelle's initial reaction to things that was outrageous, just the decisions she made afterward... But it was such fun get all riled up and string together redundant phrases like "spoiled whiny baby!" Michelle's the character I love to hate, y'see - she's such a perfect foil for both Fry and Leela. I guess I was just too deep in the zone....

I'm afraid if I met a cyclops (even one as stunningly beautiful as Leela), I'd do a double take and probably would say some sort of explictive out of surprise.
Kinda like the first time I met a woman with neon pink spiked hair...

@Shiny: You know, my first fanfic ('The One With The Simple Premise That Looked So Good When I First Wrote It') involved Michelle as the antagonist, you know, being mentally unstable and all. But I've changed her, or at least, parallel her, to someone a bit nicer (and more verbal-sparring) in my current fic, and in a later (much later) one, I intend to have her as one of the heros. Incidentally, Shiny, I would like to discuss ideas with you for my upcoming two movie scripts of my trilogy, if you have the time. Do you know of an appropriate thread where we could do this? (I'd be willing to name you co-author ...)
