Purely Hypothetical thread...

Perhaps it has been noted that from "That's Lobstertainment" onwards, Bender would at random moments say "Neat!" and take a photo of something.

If you consider how a lot of other little Bender nuances were given full episodes in due time, would this have lead somewhere eventually?

Or perhaps it would forever remain a Scruffy type dealie i.e. sudden addition with no explantation for gag purposes. (okay, that's how it turned out. But hypothetically do you believe it could have supported an episode, or even just a 'B' story?)

EDIT: Whoopsie. Already discussed I see. How silly of me. Yes, yes search button etc.

It'd already been used long before "THat's Lobstertainment!".

Go back to "When Aliens Attack" way back in Season 1.  Bender takes a photo of the group early in the episode just as the Omicronians arrive, and later he films "Single Female Lawyer".  But where WAS Camera 3?

What was it Ben said about needing a "sarcasm" smily?

My point is that Bender's love of photography was established early in the series, and episodes like "That's Lobstertainment!" were following on from that.

That's true, but Bender saying "Neat!" when he takes photos isn't enough material to fill an entire episode.

In my view Bender's interest in photography is one of Futurama's nice touches of realism; that Bender kept the hobby throughout the series.

itd have been a nice thing to pick up on but then i assume theyd have had to finish his photography story- which would be a shame- its good for him to have hobby
