You have to give a lot of credit to the character designers of Futurama over at Rough Draft Studio. There are a lot of Leela responses for A&B. It says alot for a one eye'd cartoon character. A CARTOON CHARACTER. They must have done something right.

What's your point? It doesn't make her any less attractive. Also, she's got a good personality.

And also, I believe the correct term is an "animated character" not a cartoon character. A cartoon character is something like Bugs Bunny or something like that. Futurama is an animated series, like Family Guy. Not a cartoon like Bugs bunny or Spongebob.

Yeah, Leela definetely turned out to be a hit, although some of the earlier designs where scary at best, and really not dignifying for Leela as a character.

It's a very male-centric show though, since the female characters have near as damn perfect bodies, whereas the male characters all tend to be fat. But there you go...

Hey lighten up! I'd be interested to know if anyone knows if any of the Futurama team have ever commented on this. Anyway, I think guys like Leela cos she's a (superficially) strong woman who has a very sentimental and vulnerable side. That and the tight top and pants. She's also a great female role model. Go Leela!

Then again, only two of the regular characters are female, so what did you expect?  Pretty much everyone is going to put either Leela or Amy, unless someone is really into Mom or Ndnd.

Faris .. You missed the point plane, train and boat, I was commenting on the great job they did on the whole character development.
Also an animated series is the "PC" way of saying cartoon. Also some Buggs Bunny cartoons are more violent than Family Guy and Futurama. Plus the powers to be thought they couldn't sell a "cartoon" to adults, so they label it as such. It's pointless and the same thing. Sorry to get you off topic, I was just making an observation on behalf of the "adult cartoon".
