Wooden was my favourite, for sure. I'd like to have seen him with the steam engine on his back though (as seen in Dan Vebber's original desgin, apparently).

How else could we have "Bite my shiny metal ass?"

Silver indeed. He'd be all shiny. I wonder what he'd look like gold? ....[remember "Parabox"] Oh, right...

Er, why have you created two polls that essentially ask the same question?

Bender doesn't really care- hence the cointoss.

Silver it is! Golden robots are in bad taste, kind of vulgar.
And it is true that silver isn't really a color as such, but in normal everyday language, silver is used to describe a greyish metallic shine.

I'm all for silver. Gold is good as a novelty, but somehow that seems like it would get old fast. It's just too garish.

Silver. Gold looks strange, especially on the ol'e silver Bender. Maybe the alternate universe versions of us prefer the gold.  ;)

Go silver! Gold strikes me as a more reighcious and pure color... Bender is a criminal, not a preacherbot!   :) But Bender isn't exactly silver either...He's foghorn grey!    :p

edited for my bad spelling...

Although gold seems to fit with Bender's personality better, I gotta go with silver. It seems far more robot-like, and much less garish.  Plus... I'm used to it.

I voted silver, but I think if Bender was gold for the series and in the FP he was silver we would all vote for gold.

Not that much more.  He wasn't solid gold, just gold plated.

If Benders body was not in the colour that it was than his body could not have been made of the confusingly different array of metals it was made of

Silver, definitely. It's more neutral, so he's easier on the eyes. From the practical side, an all-gold robot would be too soft, and a gold patina would chip with Bender's active lifestyle. Leave the golden finish to the lazier robots, who need to show off their opulence.
