I know I tend to use esoteric words now and then. Sadly, there’s no SC to English translator... My intent was to describe the Fry/Leela ‘thang as their getting closer and closer, but never ‘getting together’. Driven largely by the writers of the show not wanting a ‘jump-the-shark’ kind of thing. Pooy! One little word...

>.< D'oh!<*Sigh*> Missed it by that much...The connotation of Leela & Fry's 'getting together' I was going for was one of an emotionally intimate relationship, not merely dating. Any number of Fic' writers have proven a Fry & Leela date could be hi- freakin'-larious. But a date in and of itself wouldn't change the 'dynamic'. <*Crickets chirp*> Alrighty then, I'll shut up now... My! I do tend to prattle on, don't I...

I would have to say that The Professor and Mom would make the best relationship They are both old and like each other. I can't see why Fry wants to go out with Leela, after all, he is a human and Leela is a cyclops. I don't think they go good together. Amy and Fry both go good together I suppose. I can imagine Mom and Professor shagging

Buckley. The salient bits are these: Buckley is a nationally syndicated newspaper columnist whose work appears in more than 300 newspapers, and author of numerous books both fiction and non-fiction. His writing style is characterized by his strict adherence to correct grammar, strong opinion, and use of uncommon words. Over the course of his career his views have changed on some issues, such as drug legalization, which he now favors. And this: For many viewers of public television, Buckely's erudite style on his weekly show Firing Line was their primary exposure to Buckley. Buckley displayed a scholarly, non-confrontational and humorous approach to his conservatism and was know for his facial expressions and gestures when asking particularly probing intellectual questions of his guests. Kif/Amy - Eh...Kif needs to stop letting himself be used as a doormat, especially for Zapp. Leela/Zapp - AWWW HELL NAW! All others - no comment. If you mean the Fry/Leela 'thang' is the most compelling in the show, I agree.
