this topic is getting old, time to steer it another direction, what other names would suit Fry, or Fry's character? I'll start, what if Fry's name was Jim?

Do they ever show Fry's full name? Does Fry just say "I'm Philip J(ay) Fry", or do we ever see it actually spelled out as Philip J. Fry? That being said, I think his middle name is Jay.

I've read once that - in the USA - you can give your children nearly every possible name. Anyway: I thought that Fry's middle name may be John or probably something creative like Johannes. Or what about Janzey? Who is saying that it has to start with an Y?

I think "Jay", basicly because Homer middle name was "Jay" and it's based on the same thing.
