Mental damage is so much worse than pysical pain. I can handle physical pain. Have any of you ever had a chest tube taken out? Man, that hurts.

1. The events of The Sting. I mean, getting stabbed through the abdomen with a gigantic bee stinger, then finding out that your girlfriend is comatose...yeah, that would hurt.

2. The events of WMIBACIL (long episode name...bleh). Not only for having his arm cut off, but I would really hate to make out with a giant crustacean.

1.) I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this-During Farnsworth Parabox during the parallel Frys and Leelas scene. Finding out you could have all your dreams come true if a coin toss came out heads and you got beat up would suck.
2.) The end of TKoS for reasons mentioned before. The irony is, if Leela hadn't been so nice in letting Fry take the helm, she would have seen it.
3.) Claw Plaque. Your best friend wants you to die, a crustacean's trying to kill you, and if you do survive, you have to make love to a lobster. Ain't Fry's life peachy?

So this post isn't totally useless- 4.) The part of the Why of Fry, when Fry finds out that the Nibblonians put his life to a halt by shoving him in the tube. Of course, his life was made completely better, but when he says "But it was my life..."

Aw, I so agree with you on that one Procyon, that line broke my heart!  It was rather unexpected, too, to hear from Fry. But it still fits.

As for staying on-topic...
1) The events of The Sting were quite shitty. Besides having been stung, his whole staying at the hospital for 2 weeks is as uncomfortable as it can be. Knowing that Leela may never wake up, recovering from a nasty wound etc...

2) Claw Plaque. No more words needed on that.

Think I'll try one that isn't emotion/shippy here for a change:
3) Tasting Bender's fire-robot-thing-food in the beginning of BGM that burned his tongue. Just nasty!

Well... The 3 moments when it really sucks being Fry?? (man, this is going to be really shippy - and yes Venus - you're the only one true shipper - just in case you ask       )

1. The whole The Sting situation - trying to protect somebody you love only to find out that you failed
2. The Time Keeps on sleepin' - every thing from having a bouquet showed in his face at the weeding through complete rejection to the destruction of whis gargantous effort
3. Well - it could be Parasites Lost or rather... The ending scene of Love&Rocket - he managed to bring him and Leela together and the Valentine's Day moment was destroyed by Zoidberg

Those are the shippiest things I can come up with. I'm just a emotional beast...
Of course the above points are true only if you don't take shippy fics into account - which we don't, do we??

TheSpacePope, the word "shipper" comes from "relationshipper"--i.e., someone who supports the relationship between two characters. In Futurama, it is used exclusively to refer to Fry and Leela's relationship. (I assume it could be used for other relationships within the series, but if a Futurama fan says "Oh, that was such a shippy episode", just assume that they mean that the episode had to do with Fry and Leela.)

Here are some more times I'd hate being Fry:

4. Snu-snu with the Amazonians. Yes, it's sex, but it's extremely painful sex...like being raped by someone three times your size. (Which is basically what it was--those Amazonians showed no mercy!)

5. The oxygen scene in Love and Rocket. I'd assume suffocating would be very uncomfortable.

6. Basically any time where Leela rejects him.
