One of the writers once said that Zapp was what Star Trek would be like with William Shatner (the actor, not Captain Kirk) in charge of the Enterprise.

Kif is the worst character of course !! He is not funny in ANY way and the kif-amy couple is just horrible.

Kif is such a weak and useless character he nearly destoyed entire episodes.

Amy was a lot funnier when she was single.

Kif is the Jar Jar Binks of the futurama universe (a phrase inspired by Sheldon Cooper for those who know the guy^^)

Yeah, except he was referring to Wil Wheaton, not Kif Kroker.

Kif is supposed to be the Spock who reacts to Zapp's (Kirk's) shenanigans. Are you a fan of Star Trek? I would wager no considering your strong abhorrence toward the character. When I first saw the premiere of Futurama way back in 1999 I was not a fan of Star Trek myself; only maybe three or four years ago did I start to watch the late night showings, and now I'm hooked. Haha long story short, my appreciation for Futurama increased exponentially because I was exposed to a new layer I was not aware of before. Maybe that's why you feel Kif is such a useless character but others may feel he serves a purpose. Or you could just not like green men, I don't know lol. I'm just trying to let you in on more secrets of the show if you weren't aware of them before :)

that's why i said "inspired" and not "said" ;)

I'm not a fan of star trek. In fact i haven't seen a single film or episode (shame on me ^^). But indeed the only times kif is interesting are when he is zapp sidekick. zapp's stupidity is then magnified (sort of).
But episodes where Kif become an important character are pretty lame.

Well to be fair then, Jar Jar was never interesting. It just seemed a little insulting to compare The Nimbus's second in command to that. I think Nudar could definitely be in the running for that title.

Oh sparrow56, how can you say you are a fan or not a fan of Star Trek without seeing any of the films or episodes?  I think perhaps you should watch a few and give it a chance before making up your mind about it.  It was lightyears ahead of its time when it came out in the 60's and it still holds up excellently today.  I you like Futurama, then I would think Star Trek would be right up your alley.

As for Nudar, I hated him - in a good way.  I mean to say that he was a good bad guy.  It felt to me like he was an enabler.  I felt as though his two pals weren't nearly as evil as him but didn't have the backbone to stand up to his more evil plans.

I can think of worse characters than Zapp or Mom; they're necessary antagonists.

Kif. But only since I don't find his "ugh..." reception to everything "that" funny. But he has to be there. Or I could put it like this... He my least favorite. Because there are worse characters on animated TV.

What? Mom is the greatest character ever, Tress is fantastic in that part.

So here's a list of the people we don't like:

Cubert
Mom
Hermes
Amy
Zapp

Am I missing any?  I would have to go with either Cubert or Mom as the worst, but as for main characters (that is, characters who have been in more than 5 episodes) I'll have to say Amy.

Cubert reminds me of my brother.  That's why I hate him so much.
Zapps one of the best rtard

Hey.

Keep it respectful.

You're the best Kryten.

Anyways, I'll go with disliking Susan Boil and Nudar.  I've grown to like Cubert and Dwight though.

Yes I've grown to like them too as we saw them less lol. Dwight's not bad just a bit boring. Cubert got less arrogant and more kidish via Bart Simpson style, it works.

I think it's good that if there aren't many characters I dislike on a show. It means the writers are making even the villains likable, which works for me. I don't even hate Nudar, I just found him a bit offputting to see when Futurama first came back to life after Devil's Hands. He seems a bit too cheezy though which is why I do probably like him the least. Didn't seem very futuristic, just gross and naked.

No big deal, John.

I may not enjoy Mom due to the brazilian voice we got here that somehow irritates me a lot. And Zapp is sometimes funny, no doubt. But his extreme narcissism is insane and I don't enjoy that part.

Like I said, no big deal.

Of those 2, definitely Cubert.  Kiff is a great foil to Zapp; half of Zapp's comments are more hilarious because of Kiff's sigh or facepalm afterwards...

Cubert. This sounds horrible, but I hate his stupid nose. Seriously. He's a jerk, and his voice is annoying rather than funny, and his nose makes me even more annoyed. It just adds to the pain. Ugh.  :laff:

It depends for me.  I can stand Mom, Cubert, and Zapp if they have good lines/parts that fit them.  But if they are just being "jerks" and are poorly written into the episode, well then...that is something else.

LaBarbara has some great lines. Such as calling Farnsworth a wrinkly tube-sock, and "Nu-uh. Boy needs a daddy!"

She's a pretty underused character, I think they could get a little more mileage out of her.
