They're both great characters, but I find Bender's the funnier character. Zoidberg has some classic lines, but also he can overdo it and get anoying quickly.

I think Zoidberg's funnier, but you have to realize Zoidberg was created as comic relief.  He doesn't have to do anything to advance the plot in most episodes, he can just sit there and crack jokes.  Bender, maenwhile, is a main character, and as such he has more duties in terms of advancing the story, and can't just make a string of jokes.

I like Zoidberg more. My favorite Zoidberg moment was when the Professor accidentaly sprays the thing (?) that attracts fish. I thought it was funny when Zoidberg starts sucking on the Professor's head.

Tidal wave, not hurricane!

Zoidberg is great, but I just love Bender... he is a more fleshed-out character, and hence, I find it funnier when he makes jokes. He isn't just comic relief like Zoidberg.

but zoidberg is just hillarious every time. oh god, dont make me choose. okay lets weigh up my favourite  set pieces for each character. (i dont have episode names etc.. I'M LEARNING!)

bender- the one where they go fishing, he asks 'are we in international waters...' resulting gag had me laughing on the floor, in tears. literally.

Zoidberg- when he breaks farnsworth's 'perfect scale model of the universes largest bottle' the way he frames fry. it is actually riddiculously funny. oh and how he eats things, and panics regularly.

sigh... zoidberg.. but bender when he's jacking on . LAUGH OUT LOUD!
