Zoidberg is smart enough to manage to get a job posing as a doctor, albeit a horrendously underpaid doctor, after moving to an alien planet where he didn't know anyone, didn't know the customs, hell, doesn't even know that doctors are usually rich (Cyber House Rules). Random thought, this makes me think doctors AREN'T rich on Decapod 10. Perhaps because of decapodians' extremely resiliant biology (Roswell that Ends Well: "the same deviled egg." ) Back to the point, Fry is legitimately dumb. Yes, he has his more coherent moments, and apparently he's some kind of musical prodigy aside from the whole "stupid fingers" thing, but wise or not, talented or not, he is also just plain dumb. My proof: "No I'm... doesn't.", "People said I was dumb, but I proved them.", "I've got a baggy of massage oil, and I'm gonna give you my super back rub, just like a I used to give Amy when I was going out with her, and she always seemed-- ", "My God! A million years!", "Please select mode of death: Quick and Painless or Slow and Horrible"/"Yeah, I'd like to place a collect call.", "Ok, if everyone's done being stupid"/"I had more, but you go ahead.", "Hey, uh, why is the TV getting smaller?", "All you have to do is bend the hatch off this steam pipe."/"No good! It's full of steam!", "10.77. Same as my PIN number"(this whole scene really), "The odds were equally good it was an emperor.", "Those things are all from the 19th century."/"Yeah, well, they probably just copied us.", "Um, let me think. Come and knock on our door, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh. Uh, Mr. Roper--", "Hey, no problem, this lead apron will protect me.","Why couldn't she be the other type of mermaid, with the fish part on top and the lady part on the bottom?", "Ooh ... I know this ... whatyya call it? Lite Brite!", "Like Fry, Like Fry!", "Yeah, well, good luck. It'd take some kind of genius to count all those rings."/"He's 5.", "Odds of winning mathematically insignificant."/"I like those odds."Think I made my point.
