Although Zoidberg may be the stupidest character in the whole show without him the show wouldn't be as funny.Cause weather you want to admit it or not Zoidberg is some comic relief(not to mention the scapegoat =/ )

I think that Zoidberg isn't very smart or wise.  At least Fry knows what principles he's fighting against.  Zoidberg though...Come ON.  He traded all his stock for a sandwich.  And he ate it?  That's what I call dumb.  But we all have to remember that his childishness adds to his ignorance.

I don't think zoidberg is all too stupid, just naive. And alot of the time he's acting stupid it is just because he does idiotic things for friendship. Fry would probably do worse if he had the same want for popularity.

Fry is more stupid in terms of intelligence. Zoidberg is just out of place on Earth, on Decapod 10 he would probably be quite an able doctor, if somewhat of a social loser. I think Fry is more of the archtypal idiot thorugh his actions though (with his "past nastification" and in TWOF, the clip of him trying to eat a pineapple :P)

I don't think Zoidberg is very stupid.
He maybe a crappy doctor, but it is on a different species and Fry would be a disaster as a doctor.

Hmmmm I dont know realy, Fry isnt stupid all the time but when he does somethin stupid its normally realy stupid wheras Zoidy is fairly stupid all the time. But I think overall I would have to go with Zoiderg.

I agree with Lord Zoidberg, because Fry is technically the dubmest being alive. Technically, of course. We haven't seen Zoidberg do anything smart because that would ruin his whole cameo in an episode, but seeing as it's always on Fry we see he is pretty tactless most the time. He has lapses in that sort of way but oh well, we all do. His [Fry's] articulation does let him down a lot of the time.

I vote for Fry. While he shows constant flights of moronic behaviour, Dr. Zoidberg is more the innocent and gullible type - at least he is intelligent enough to get SOME of his doctoring stuff right, even if he lost his grade in a volcano. After all, he saved Fry's life on Europa - that bit was quite extraordinary, I thought.

But Fry and Zoidberg resemble each other in one important thing as well - they may be dumb, but they are both nice guys and have their heart (or in Zoidberg's case, hearts) in the right place(s).

I agree with your last statment Chrys as that is part of the reason why Fry is my favourite character, as he is a genuinely nice guy!

So? That's what he always eats. And I take it that he wouldn't be eating anything if he wouldn't eat trash because of his miserable poorness. Therefore, he's smart enough to get some food without money. Conclusion: Zoidy doesn't eat trash because he's stupid, but because he has to.

Zoidberg is dumbest, he only has knoledge of his own species for the sake of the plot, a he's the easiest person to have narate it. Fry shows inteligence somtimes especially in the later seasons. Where as Zoidberg just gets stupider.
