Is Amy just using Kif?

Kif is so in love with Amy, and although she treats him very well, I wonder if she isn't just using him--to say she's had an alien fling during her wild and crazy youth.  What do you think?

na i dont think so cuz in KifGKUAN you can see that in all those circumstances Amy went with Kif in the end.

Meh, Such a good thing, is not ment to last. But there are only 7 episodes left and I doubt they will break up. Hey, what do I know?

Amy certainly seems to like kif. She talks about him when he's not around. Thats a good sign

i say amy gives a boyfriend about two weeks of dates, usually hitting a home run on the first one.

if anything i think that of the 14 or so days she gives a guy kif has used what, four, now five? he is aways in deeps space giving brannigan sexual favors for all we know. also with only 7 eps under their belts, it is just a running side story. maybe somethign would have happened in season..five? six? they will only stay togather because the show was cut down in it's prime before there were enough episodes to have them break up.

that's just what i think, besides, just because your mind wanders at three in the morning, CAN he even.....you know...with humans....the HUMAN way....amazonians know

Anyway, as I said in my review for "300 Big Boys," I don't think Amy is using Kif, but the relationship is very stagnant. It could be possible, however. Kif does want to do anything to please, but I don't see Amy as smart enough to manipulate someone to her advantage like that.

I can't say I've seen all covering the Amy/Kif relastionship as an Australia and somewhat limited but I think Amy's not that kind of gal, there's a difference between being, well, slutty, and being a user. As they go, they might work, they might have a sugar in the gastank, midnight phonecalls, crying yourself to sleep bitter break up but I'm sure Amy isn't with Kif because of some idea of saying she once had a "wild alien fling" in fact the idea of dating Kif didn't seem unusual to her at all, she just wanted to date him for him.

Amy is not using Kif.  They're in love.  I see no reason why not to believe so.

And yes... Britz is right.  Being slutty and being a user aren't the same thing.  Amy's the first--not the second.

I just like to voice right how deeply disturbed I feel when I look at such a cute little picture of Amy, looking fine decked out in her fairy costume and then see the name Frank, is it me or do those clash? At least Zoidberg riding a sperm fits my name beautifully... Wow, I just realised how weird that is.

Well, Amy risked her life to save Kif on Amazonia - I seriously doubt she would have gone out of her way to do that if she was just "using" him. That's my thoughts anyway. However, until that point, Amy might have had feelings for Kif, but still lept around a lot.

Amy dated M5438 (the character, not the PEEL'er), and she flirted with Gorgak in "My Three Suns" so she already got the "wild, alien fling" angle covered.

And the way she acted in "Amazon Women In The Mood" and "Where The Buggalo Roam" indicates she's very smitten with the squishy alien.

"Please, Leela? Kif's like the sweetest guy who's ever liked me." Would Amy really, in essense, ask Leela to do her a favor if she wasn't serious about dating Kif?

i think that amy is not the using type. they are in love, and although some of us think that is well, weird him being a green lizard and her a hot asian rich girl, in the year 3000 their relationship is something that everyone would not give a second thought.

although i think it is a freakishly wrong thing that cannot work out. but that's just me.

Though she does seem to be swooned failry easily, in "Where the Bugalo roam" she was fairly take with R.J. Renolyds (the marlbro man) and Joe (Camel), and ditched kiff for a little while.

Amy uses Kif? What would she get out of that?

1. Her parents are trillionares
2. She's pretty and can get any boy she wants

It's obvious that she's going with Kif beacuse he respects her and dosen't see her as a sexual-object.

Ok, I don't think anyone is using anyone. In all actuality, they were forced together by her parents who are really weird. I get the feeling they actually want to see their daughter having sex to confirm that grandchildren are being made. I would say it's possible she's using Kif to get her parents to back off. However Buggaglo (sp?) made this argument futile as her parents clearly stated they don't like Kif.

So, it's either real love or a rebel thing. She doesn't need to rebel though as she is an adult. You have to wonder though, if it ever came down to dumping Kif or losing money, which would she choose?

She's rich, why else would she use him?  She's not the type to do that, anyways.  Besides, there's signs showing she loves him.  To me, they make a nice match.

Naw she's obviously hot for his leathery hide--remember in the episode with all the conversation hearts where they're in that factory where they stuff those bears and Amy is all "Kif gives me those all the time!" Aaand I don't think most girls would talk so gushingly about gifts from someone they were using. Or bring him up at all when he's not around--because some new hot guy might hear it.

Face it--she likes 'em in the green string bean variety.

I guess the term using is part perspective. Amy's a high upkeep women form her financial flexability and kif is a people pleaser from his repressive assistants position. it fits, but it seems she takes the things he does for granted and he's so patheticlyly puppy-dog-like. That's why she looks like she ist oon uncarring bitch-kreig.

i read most of the posts, and im not sure if this was mentioed --> amy just wants to keep her parents off her back, and what better then kiff? theyve already seen them together so theres no question, and she did go out with fry and the other guy (in put you head on my shoulders)

Good point, in Flight to Remember Amy used Fry to pose as her boyfriend to keep her parents off here back in that episode as well.

The problem is, Amy's parents don't like Kif at all. He's far to scrawny to father any grandchildren (the only reason the want Amy to find a husband), and thus they wont stop finding suitable mates for her. Even in "Where The Buggalo Roam" when Amy pushed Kif right in their face and proclaimed this was her boyfriend they suggested RJ instead.

If keeping her parents off was the plan, Kif is the wrong choice.

But you are right, Amy doesnt seem to care about Kif's physical apperiance, wealth, fertilaty, or anything that her parents seem to want in a son in law. Kif isn't the poster boy of the Wong family.

Maybe Hattie didn't have sex with him and just forced him to dance naked for her. In 'Amazonian Woman in the Mood' they did refer to Kif as "the most beautiful".

Kif didn't do it in Amazon Women in the mood. He's dragged into the room by the blonde Amazon woman, and when we next see him, he's on the ceiling and the same woman is looking for him, and he still has his underwear on. So, I don't think anything happened there.

As for Kif and Amy, do you think they actually have like...real sex? Not Kif's idea of sex? I know, weird question, but it's one I think about a lot. o.o;;

As for Amy using Kif, no, I definatley don't think she is. I'm not saying they're all destined for each other and will be together forever, but they're in a cute relationship where they both love each other.

No, she is not just using him, she would have broken up with him ages ago if so. Amy has never shown any other guy to her parents (as far as I  know)
