If you could bring one character from The Simpsons (that isn't a member of the Simpson family) onto Futurama to stay as a main character who'd it be?

To be honest, I'd rather they didn't mix (unless they made the 2 crossover comics into episodes) But if a minor character from the Simpsons had to be in Futurama, I'd definately pick Kang and Kodos. I think they'd fit in a lot better than the other choices  :)

My vote was Ralph Wiggum. It'd be funny to see him wander through the streets of New New York- of course he'd probably be devoured by Horrible Gelationous Blob within 20 minutes of his first episode...maybe he wasn't such a good idea.

Carl and lenny are the best characters. They could become best budds with fry.

Kang or Kodos, the others would make no sense at all.

None, not even Kang and Kodos.

Matt Groening: "The idea is, Futurama is real and The Simpsons is fictional." In fact he said The Simpsons is still on the air in the year 3000.

Moe would be great as an unsuccessul, loner of a bar tender working in the pub they hang in sometimes (forgot its name). Failure in the 20th century, failure in the 30th century. lol

What about Professor Frink and Professor Farnsworth? Now there's a team!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one already has.

In Space Pilot 3000, when Fry is in the tubes, he passes Blinky the three-eyed fish.

I guess this sort of answers this thread.

I chose Moe. Since I've been doing more Scans of him I think he is funny. Plus I don't really count Moe or Abu as minor Characters.

I bet that Fry would pick Lenny. But he'd have to kill Carl in order to do that. Or how about Fry and Otto? Black Sabbath would play everywhere.

Professor Frink was already in an episode I forget which one, he was in the crowd of professors that Farnsworth was giving a speech to

Moe would be funny as a bartender in O'Gorgnax's.  Kang and Kodos might be cool too.  Ideally the two series would never mix other than in background shots (Blinky swiming past the tube, P. Frink in a croud, etc.)

A Kang and Kodos episode would be really awesome, the only problem is that the Omicronians are really similar to them.

I don't think we would need any characters from the Simpsons. I mean, just think about it, each character listed above is already represented by at least one Futurama character.

-Ned Flanders/Moe is your Zoidberg (anooying, nosey, pathetic)
-Cletus is your Hyper Chicken (Country folk types)

In my opinion, Carl and Lenny are kinda like URL and Smitty in how both of their relationships are "weird." If you've been watching recent Simpsons eps, you know what I mean.

Groundskeeper Willie and Scuffy are the odd maintenance guys.

I say "Bah" to the Simpsons. We don't need them because we already have them.

Since they're mirrors of themself, it's obvious they would get along. Afterall, we all love our own company (with a possible exception for those with split personalities).

But adding a Simpsons character to the Futurama universe would be a cheap promotion stunt, as the shows have very little overlap (the 1000 year difference for one thing). The comics have already done it, the only way possible. It worked reasonably well, lets stop while we're ahead.
