it's never a good idea to kill off characters indiscriminately. Not unless you've already worked out exactly how to bring them back without the fan community screaming "ass-pull!" at you.

Futurama deliberately went for nerdy sci fi audience. Folks known to pick every minor, little plot detail apart.
So even the most elaborate, hilarious, brillant plot bringing a character back (I am talking of (TLPJF*TDHAIP)^TKOS) brillant will automatically spawn "Ass-pull" comments.

So, if I'm right, what you're saying is...

At least, that's how I'd write it as a chemist. I assume that a physicist would do so in rather similar terms. A mathematician might interpret it differently, and a symbolic logician would probably complicate it beyond understanding, then spontaneously ejaculate* in excitement.

*As in a verbal exclamation, seemingly apropos of nothing.

If I had to pick one character out of the ones given on the Poll, I'd say Hermes. He's not a very important character, and he's already died three times in the show, even if they weren't permanent (BBS, TSMDM, MOTPE). Plus, if they needed him to return, he could come back as a Robot TSMDM style, or as a head like in BBS.
