Matt Groening's favorite character?

Hey who do you think Groening's favorite character is? I think his favorite is Fry since Fry has a lot of character development, granted he is the main character but still...

Probably, but I think he is also pleased with Leela. After all, he wanted to create a sexy alien babe with one eye. I think he was successful.

I also think he's very pleased with Bender, because Bender works great, and is the final version closest to his original designs.

He laso noted how Fry was basically him in his mid-twenties. He didn't know where the hell he was heading in life either.

Basically I don't think he has a favorite, but is generally happy about the entire cast.

Hum.... I would probley say fry because if it was not for fry futurama would not be around and Fry is in almost every episode when someone like uor littly friend zoidey is'nt!

i`m not english speaker so i dont know if those were the exactly words but i guess that Matt once said something like this about Futurama development.

Yeah i think he is probably most pleased with Fry and Leela because Fry is the main character and Leela was a big sucess

Probably Fry. He has the most developed background (with his family and all) and the premise of the show revolves around him.

I think its Bender because he was probably created based off of homer simpsons who is most likely Mat's favorite character in the simpsons making bender his favorite Futurama character

I'll go for Fry, merely as he is the protagonist. Although yes fryfanSpyOrama, I do now remember how much he (and everyone else) laughed at the hypnotoad.

The show basically wouldn't exist without Fry. He is the crux of the show, and it would seem that he was Matt's favourite.
Having said that though, Leela was a triumph for him.

I think that his favorites are the main three characters (Fry, Leela, Bender) just because the majority of the episodes are centered on them and that he has such feelings foreach of them.

I think it's Fry because in season 1 episode 1 'space pilot 3000' he says that (in commentry) that fry is just like him when he was 25 ish and the answer to all his problems would be to be frozen. Huzzah for Tinny Tim! Someone should start a message board for him.

I say Bender, but I think that's cause he's my favorite so I'll change to Fry. Fry is very in control of all of the other characters and I think Groening must feel like he's sort of part of their universe, kind of like a person who changes everything indirectly (?)

Comparisons between Homer and Bender make me very sad. Makes me feel like Bender's personality was crushed.
