But that inferiority complex is still there, though well-hidden.  And it has nothing to do with smartness.

Punish? She attended Phnogs martial art classes to gain confidence. And judging from "The Cyber House Rules" she never used her martial arts on the bullies back at the orphanarium.

And I challenge you to find one example of Leela beating up somebody, on the sole reason they disagreed with her being better than them. Or simply find an example of Leela beating up somebody, just for the hell of it.

There were at least a dozen other students in Phnogs class, going by your theory I guess all those too had an inferiority complex.

And again, you seem to have abandoned your original claim that Leela is a block-head.

Bear in mind, this is the judgement of another person, based on a few seconds of dialogue, and while under the influence of the Hypnotoad. I'd hardly call him an expert on Leela.

Bender admitting he is stupid, and he know himself were well.

Apparently we're all using Unicode fonts. Win2k and WinXP (and probably MacOS X) support them.

That was "ivrit", the Hebrew word for Hebrew. (Correct, Kryten?)

Calculon is cool! That episode just didn't have any kick. And Zoidberg shouldn't have any relatives. Aside from that, Richard Nixon annoys me. I think he's overrated. Yeah the episode where he became president of earth was funny--but George Washington's head in a jar is better!

No I'm just kidding. But Leela is there also to be the straight act. That's how most comedy works, there has to be a straight character. If all three of them were do-laly, then it would get boring and the characters themselves would be rather shallow. If you look at Monty Python, you'd find that many of the sketches (by no means all) have one or two straight characters in them. Almost like a weight to prevent everything else flying away into farcity. Leela's like that. But also it does give the writers another option to make Leela do something not usually like her then it would make some viewers who constantly see Bender and Fry doing things "wake up" when they see Leela do something weird since they weren't expecting that. It keeps the show fresher.   

Well said. Lisa simpson or leela are not boring. Lisa is always credited as being boring because all the episodes are centred on Bart and Homer. Lisa is a real life character she is clever yet laughs her head of at itchy and scratchy. Leela isn't boring she's fiesty and is always there for everyone.

OnT: I don't find any of the characters in Futurama seriously annoying. They all have some good lines from time to time. Though HyperChicken can get tiresome.

Gunther did do one funny thing, when he was on the log and he was just about to reconsider climbing the rope, he was like "But on the other hand" then the rope just snaps.  HILARIOUS!!!!
