Bender has always been my favourite Futurama character, and always will be. But there's something I don't understand. On "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles," everyone got younger, including Bender who also got smaller. And yet on "Mother's Day," You see a framed picture of him at only 1 month old and he looks the same as normal. You also hear that Mom is his mom and on "X-Mas Story" Bender gets a card from his mom and it has a picture of this robot arm thingy.

Okay. The Mom corparation factory makes robots, and Mom is the boss, now if you watch "Bendless Love" you see Bender being  "born" or created etc. The machine that puts him together is that giant robot arm which in that episode he does call "Mama." Mom is the Mom of all robots. As for the getting smaller thing thats a little trickier but when John Dimaggio asked the same thing in the audio commentary David X Cohen reply we saw Bender when he came out of the machine we didn't see what he looked like inside the machine.

almost everything

Dislike:
When he beats up poor Fry. (the only times I find him beating Fry funny is he strangles Fry ala Homer strangling Bart and when he tries to hit Fry with a pipe until Fry thinks he's invisible in a chocolate factory and romantically involved with a celebrity)
That he just stood idlely by when Fry and Leela got divorced instead of trying to save the marriage of his best friends.
That he was too mean in APTR
That he was barely in the TDHAIP (ironic that Bender, the most popular character in Futurama, played only a small role in the final episode of Futurama)
That he, Leela and Amy were all mean to Fry in "Futurestock" and they were more interested in being rich than in working with Fry (Leela I can understand wanting to be rich but Amy is already a gazillionare and Bender got a taste of the rich life in AHITP and it wasn't all it's cracked up to be)
That he never, ever calls his best friend by his first name (the same goes for Leela, Fry's true love, and the Prof., Fry's only living relative).

I think Fry prefers to be called "Fry," so I wouldn't say that's cause to dislike anyone who calls him that.

As for the divorce, who knows what went on between the time skips?  Maybe Bender just didn't have a chance to speak up.  Or maybe he was jealous that Fry was spending more time with Leela than with him.

It wasn't being rich that bothered Bender in AHITP, but not having a body.  I'm sure he would jump at the chance to become rich AND keep his body.

I'm just saying that I find it odd that only Amy calls Fry by first name. I mean, Fry and Leela were married once and even then she still just called him "Fry". Someone calling their spouse by their last name is just plain weird IMHO. Plus, the Prof. never calls Fry "Uncle Phil" or something like that. Oh, well the Prof. is senile and odd, but he still should call his uncle "Uncle (insert name)"

It's the fact that Bender values riches over his best friend that bothers me. I mean, Bender can easily find a way to be rich, like robbing from Amy, but having a true blue friend like Fry is something that Bender should treasure, as most humans wouldn't give a crap 'bout Bender.

Bender might be buddies with Fry and like him immensely, but he lacks empathy. He can't really understand the nuances of these situations and would probably be too lazy and self absorbed to put forth an effort to help in a situation he deems inconsequential. Which is not, of course, to say that I don't like Bender. Bender is pwn.

I like him for his stealing, honestly he must have made some kind of record, in BBfT, how he stole practically everythign valueable, always stealing wallets, Fishful of dollars he is actually caught, then my favorite robbery was in Roswell that ends well, when he steals the guys wallet even though he has no where to put it.

I wonder did Bender lose anything when Enos ate his brain? Maybe he lost the will to bend and tell people to bite his ass. I really hated Bender in "Spanish Fry". His small penis jokes were Family Guy humor, not Futurama humor. I was almost gald that the series was ending.
