From the descriptions, "Bend Her" has a fair chance of outright sucking. Let's hope it doesn't.

Bender's instantly likeable when you first see the show, but then other guys like DrZ or Zapp become funnier and funnier. One of my fav bender moments from 'the problem with popplers' was when Leela accused him of stepping on Popplers for fun. Cut to a close up of Bender with the look of a cheeky kid that knows he's been naughty. he doesn't say anything but it just cracks me up. Its amazing how they managed to draw a robots face to show emotion.

Hi! First timer here.....
Just saw "Space Pilot 3000" for the first time since 1999, and after all this time watching the show I was struck by how much the characters - especially vocally - have evolved.
But also I noticed something I wanted to discuss and figured here's as good a place as any....
I think it's during this episode that we see Bender's first display of truly criminal behavior - when he stole Leela's ring. And I think it's because he met Fry that he developed this aberration in his programming.
It could be argued that there are two earlier examples: when he yanked back his quarter in the suicide booth and when he ran from the cops. But I think the quarter ploy just shows that he's a cheap robot. As for running from the cops - who wouldn't? The only other option was to stay and be dragooned back into a job you hated. (After the cops went 24 Century on ya, that is!)
Here's my theory - Bender "downloaded" his criminal behavior while in the Room of Criminal Heads. Somehow, when his antenna made contact with the exposed wiring of the overhead light, he integrated the mental engrams of one or more of the criminal heads nearby.
If this has been suggested before, my apologies for bringing it up again.
Whaddya think? Am I crazy? Well... yeah. But that shouldn't be held against the theory!

Well I really think he is so cool and I just love him. There are a few great moments with him. I love it when he wears that pimp jacket on Raging Bender and he has two Fem bots next to him. Very sexy. Also I love the scene from Bendless Love where he helps Angalyne bending a girder, so romanic
hookerbot: Bender honey we love you! bender: (pimp walking) Shut up baby, I know it.
that was great. Yeah, bender's great.

Well as you recently saw, Bend Her most definitely did not suck. I like Bender. I like fembots. I like Calculon. I like Zoidberg hoarding food. I also like Boxy. So what's not to like about Bend Her? Something about John DiMaggio's voice in that episode.. It isn't purposely 'affected' or 'girly', it just has a mischevious, natural touch of femininity that makes Bender yelling about 'shaking his can' that much funnier. Oh, Bender. In all of your different incarnations, you are still the same and always entertaining! "I just wanted to be popular.."

"he's pending for a bending"
(after discovering that Nibbler had eaten all the animals they'd carefully rescued...) I think he also said that to Cubert in one episode too. Nonetheless, its still a great saying.
