Teral that was WAY cool! Being able to hear the different VAs on that scene. I'd love to see the same done for the others! Interesting thing is that to me none of the other languages seem to emote as much as the English one. I don't think it's a matter of not understanding the language, the emotion just isn't there. You call that emoting!!?

Actually I have a question about a voice.
Just saw "Hell Is Other Robots" again, and the same thing was bugging me when I first saw it.
I'm pretty sure Dan Castellenata was imitating a particular actor as the Devil and I'm thinking he was doing an impression of Hans Conreid, Uncle Tonoose on 'Make Room For Daddy', Waldo Wigglesworth in 'Hoppity Hooper', the host of 'Fractured Flickers'....
Does anybody else hear Hans Conreid's influence in Beelzebot's voice? Or maybe it's supposed to be some other impersonation?
Has there ever been any interviews with Castellenata in which he talked about what he had in mind for the role?

The lack of acting and emotion is one of the particular annoying things about Pro7's version (the sometimes downright stupid translation is another big issue).

And I was right - whew! i pride myself on guessing vocal influences and commercial voices. It was supposed to be a tip of the hat to Hans Conreid, perhaps it was inspired by the movie "5000 Fingers of Dr. T" - he was pretty devilish in that!
